The following day, Dave saw the Mayor at the ranch and questioned his father why the Mayor was there. Paco got there and Dave asked what exactly was happening but Paco equally didn’t know about it.
Freddie got upset with his children as he was feeding his animals. He told Dave that Paco was not aware of what was going on and the reason the Mayor got there. He left and all that Dave and Paco heard was that their father had collapsed.
They rushed him to the hospital and they were told by the doctor that he had fallen into a coma. The family held on to him. For days Freddie was still in a coma. One day, the four boys gathered around the table at home to eat. Seb told Dave that he could go back to the state and Paco could carry on with his life, he and his wife would take care of their father.
Dave cancelled his trip indefinitely to take care of his father. They were later given an option by the doctor to choose between ending the life of their father or could allow the plugs to hold on to him for him to continue to suffer. The doctor explained that he was not responding.

The boys fought among themselves to hold on to the plugs for a hope. Dave wanted them to end the suffering of their father and Drew agreed but Paco and Seb were against it. Before Dave would make the final decision at the hospital, Cherry stopped him and told him that this is not the time that they had to make a decision based on seniority.
She urged the boys to go home and think about the whole thing carefully. When they went home to talk about it, Drew insisted on them to unplug the plugs because it was time for them to be practical as their father was suffering and even if he regained consciousness he would become like a cabbage, and Freddie wouldn’t like his state.
Seb was against it and it became a brawl between Seb and Drew and he told Drew that he was only a drùg addict and they were not going to give up on their father. Drew got upset and told them that they were acting like their father cared about them.
He explained that after the death of their mother, their father never cared about them but only cared about his animals. The Mayor got to explain to the boys that their father invested into a transportation project but it turned out that the person Freddie got to do the business with was only a fraudster.
That was the reason the Mayor set in to help and they established that fact. Paco did not know the amount Freddie invested into that project but was sure that the amount was huge since their father ended up in that condition, once he realised that he was scammed.
The boys were ready to use their resources to fight for the life of their father, until one day, Freddie’s condition deteriorated and his brain was dead, making Dave stand on his grounds to tell the doctor to unplug the life supporting machines. Dave had no choice because their father had stopped fighting wbd his brain was deàd, which meant there was no hope.

The boys cried, most especially Paco. Fast forward, Freddie was buried next to his wife Carol. In their white apparel, Cherry recalled the promise she made to Freddie before his deàth. The man wanted his sons to stay united and made Cherry promise to ensure that his sons would stay together.
As they were leaving the cemetery, they saw the mãd man or the beggar who had the letter of Panyong. They did not mind him and left. As they went home, Becca told Dave about the landlady in the United States who called to inform her that their house was leaking.
Dave did not allow him to finish talking and he reminded her that his father just d!ed. That evening Dave went to cry out of the house. He said his father had given up on them and he always had to do all the sacrifices. He recalled the event that led to the death of Panyong and he did not understand why he had to carry the guilt of Panyong’s deàth.
Becca came in to comfort him. They were later gathered around the table about to eat. Cherry had prepared their father’s favourite food and wanted Dave to sit in his father’s chair but he refused. He chose to sit next to Becca.
They all started to eulogize Freddie talking about all the good things. Cherry was grateful that Freddie took her in when she was left orphan. They said lots of good things and Dave stopped them, saying their father was not perfect.
He began to voice out that their father covered up for Drew. Drew tried stopping Dave from voicing out. He went on confessing that Drew k!lled Panyong and their father had Panyong’s body thrown into the waters. Cherry saw that as no joke.
Paco and Seb were stopping him and demanded why he was voicing out now. He said it was not his fault because at that time the right thing was for him to support his father’s decision because he was scared and had to choose to travel with Drew.
He said that was the reason he separated from Cherry Red and it was not intentional. He said he was frightened due to the scandal it might cause and Drew might end up in jail. Paco tore the shirt of Dave and blamed him. Cherry stãbbed Drew. It turned out that it was a nightmare and Dave was struggling, mentioning Cherry’s name when Becca woke him up.
