Filipino crossdresser Awra Briguela shares awful lessons after days in prison
Filipino crossdresser, Awra Briguela has disclosed that he learnt awful lessons from being imprisoned for days over a controversial brawl in Poblacion, Makati, almost a year ago.
According to him, he is getting better and stronger after that altercation and his subsequent imprisonment.

It could be recalled that Awra allegedly asked a certain Mark Christian Ravana to remove his shirt and started a fight with a group outside a bar and also cursed at the police that prompted them to arrest him.
He was initially charged with physical injuries, direct assault, alarm and scandal and disobedience to the person in authority before facing extra charges.
In a viral media interview, the actor who shot to fame after a role in “FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano” admitted to having learned lessons from the altercation.
“I’m getting better, I’m getting stronger. I owned up to my mistakes. When I was imprisoned, I still couldn’t seem to realise that it was happening to me,” he said.

Awra further stated that he was emotionally affected and suffered depression after he was released from the police custody.
“So after what happened, even when I got home, I was so depressed, I cried, that’s when I couldn’t do it anymore,” he added.
In moving forward, the comedian swore not to repeat the act that got him behind bars again.
In June 2023, Awra allegedly figured in a brawl with another group of guests in a bar at Makati City.
Videos that had since gone viral showed Briguela being taken into custody by police outside the bar in Makati’s Poblacion district.
According to the police chief, Awra allegedly started a fight with a group outside the bar and went further to curse at the police who were at the scene to enforce the law, leading to his arrest on June, 29, 2023.
He later faced charges for light treats, grave coercion and violation of the Safe Spaces Act and was released from police custody after posting bail on July 1, 2023.
