I have right to reclaim the name ‘Fantana’—Bullet declares intentions of retrieving the brand name of his former signee

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rufftown Records, Ricky Nana Agyeman, popularly known as Bullet has declared intentions of retrieving the brand name “Fantana” from his former artiste Francine Kouffie.

According to him, the “girls hit on girls” hitmaker did not come to the label with any name.

Speaking in a media interview, Bullet stated that he was contemplating on the subject matter to come out with the best option.

He explained that he had every right to claim the name from the artiste since his label gave the brand name to Fantana.

Bullet further stated that through his hard work and dedication of his reputable record label he gave the industrial name to the artiste to her help sell her artistry works to the world.

He noted that  the company terminated the contract of the new signee for denting the image of the label but he had not decided whether to gift Fantana the name or to claim the name.

Bullet maintained that it would come to the public eye if he retrieved the name as part of the contract termination.

” For now what I will say is I have the right to reclaim the name ‘Fantana’ because my label gave it to her and she exhibited gross disrespect to the label. I can’t tell the public now but it will come to light whether I took the brand name or not. I am still thinking about it,” he added.

Bullet observed that comments made by Fantana during her live Instagram session dented the hard-earned reputation of the company, thus the contract termination.

Fantana’s contract with the label got terminated when she said the label had run out of lyrics and would not have anything to do with it.

These comments got the CEO irritated and punished the artiste for dissing the label which earned her the name Fantana and fame.

On Sunday May 17, a press statement issued in Accra and signed by  Bullet titled; “Request For A Mutual Termination Meeting,” indicated that Fantana was acting rudely and her actions in the past days had greatly affected the image of the brand label.

“In view of this, management would like to request a meeting between yourself and management to enable us commence discussions on your future dealings with the record label,” the statement said.

Currently the contract is confirmed terminated but no one could tell whether the “Rich Gyal Anthem” hitmaker would return in the industry with the name Fantana or not.
