Sharon Cuneta hopes critics will stop harping on Coco Martin, Julia Montes age gap
Veteran actress Sharon Cuneta wishes that critics will no longer harp on the controversial 14-year age gap between actor Coco Martin and his actress lover, Julia Montes.
According to her, she is unhappy with how critics had been lambasting the couple over the years due to their age differences.

Speaking in an interview with the media concerning the renowned couple “Coco-Jul” who Coco is already 43 and Julia is 29, Sharon said the couple had gone through a real difficult time while loving each other.
“I don’t like when people judge them because of the age gap. I know what Julia had to go through when she was younger and she’s in a much better place, I’d like to say. And she says that, too,” she said.
Sharon assured fans that Julia was being treated by Coco like a “queen.”
“She’s loved, she’s such a queen. I’m happy about that,” she added.

Sharon maintained that the couple were like her kids and she treated them with so much respect while reaffirming that the two were deeply in love with each other.
“So, all that I want to say, I have so much respect and admiration for Coco not only as a talented co-worker, but as a family man.”
“They love each other very much. They’re very happy together. I wish them only the best for this love to last forever,” she added.

It can be recalled that Coco and Julia’s relationship stirred controversy not only because of their 14-year age gap, but since Julia was reportedly only 16 when she and the then 30-year-old actor started their now 13-year-old relationship, which Coco confirmed in a “TV Patrol” interview last 2023.
