According to a statement issued in Accra yesterday and signed by Ms Juliana Obeng, a Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Head of Public Affairs at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) stated that the man of God was on Tuesday arrested by police officers and charged in court for the publication of false news and forgery of document.

She explained that the man of God’s action was contrary to sections 208 and 159 of the Criminal and other Offences Act, 1960 (Act 29) respectively.

He is also under investigations for other offences levelled against him.

Ms Obeng  further stated that Bishop Obinim was picked up by the police on a warrant of arrest issued by the court.
