I will change the official language from English to Twi, if you make me the President—Akua Donkor
Akua Donkor, the flagbearer of Ghana Freedom Party (GFP) has expressed intention to make twi the official language in Ghana if the citizenry vote for her to be the President of the Country.
According to her, Ghana has abandoned their mother tongue for a foreign one which she frowns upon.
Speaking in a media interview on Friday, the GFP founder and leader regretted that the Country was currently operating in English and expressed commitment to change the official language from English to twi if she is given the nod coming December 7.
She said the judiciary will no longer hold cases in English but in twi for accusers who are unable to express their thoughts and communication ability in English would feel at ease.
