COVID-19; Ghana sets a pace with 99 novel coronavirus recovery cases!

A total of 99 infected persons have fully recovered from COVID-19, according to the Ghana Health Service (GHS).
The 99 persons were part of the 268 confirmed cases under routine surveillance.
Ghana’s case count of COVID-19 has now risen to 1,042.
This was announced on the GHS portal yesterday.
According to the data provided by GHS the five new cases were recorded in Adenta Municipality, Ayawaso East and Ayawaso Central Municipalities.
“With the exception of one of the cases from Ayawaso East, all the new cases are asymptomatic. Contacts of the new cases are being listed for follow up,” GHS stated.
According to the GHS, as of April 14, at 23:00HRS, a total of 50,719 persons had been tested with 641 being positive for the novel coronavirus.

Meanwhile an earlier report noted that the confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide hit about 2 million with 130,000 deaths.
