‘Your resilience is admirable, I look forward to us working together’— Mahama to Biden

Flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) John Dramani Mahama has expressed optimism to work together with the American President Elect, Joe Biden for the benefit of Ghana when he is given the mandate as a president.

According to him, the collaboration would ensure social Justice and sustainable development in the two countries.

Congratulating Me Biden on his Twitter page, President Mahama who shared similar strategy with Mr Biden with female vice said the resilience of the American President Elect was admirable and looked forward to partner him.

“I look forward to us working together for the mutual benefit of our two countries and for a better world that ensures social justice and sustainable development,” he said.

Former President Mahama noted that it took a lot of hardwork and determination to chalk such a success and was determined to follow Mr Biden’s steps.

“Congratulations US President-elect Joe Biden. Your resilience is admirable. It’s taken sheer grit and determination to chalk this victory, he added.

John Mahama who is seeking for re-election in the December 7 polls and the success of Democrat Party has inspired his party with some of his party members projecting a one-year agenda for the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Joe Biden won United States of America’s elections by polling 290 electoral college votes against President Donald Trump who had 214.

Although Mr Biden and his female vice are not yet officially declared as the  46th president of the United States but media projection suggest he had won after several days of leading Trump.

He accepted his new mantle as the President Elect on his Twitter handle and called for peace and calm among his supporters.
