Hipolito arrived home and Jacob asked how the meeting with Ellen and he said it went well. He had gotten what he wanted and Ellen would be the key to his freedom. Jacob was happy about the news and Hipolito said by the time Lily realised they would be the one running the helm of affairs.
His goon, who he made to harass Ellen after their meeting complained that he hit him hard. Jacob asked why he pulled off such charade and Renato termed gua charade as reversed psychology. He wanted Ellen to feel that he would be her protector in all instances.

Ellen arrived in the room of Mariano to find him revising the speech Lily put up for him to deliver during her Charity event. Maria o complained that Lily made Augustus hit him and it has affected him. Ellen told him that it would not happen ever again because from now onwards, they would not follow the words of Lily.
Lito in his house was so sad for losing Alyana. He promised not to forget her since she served as an inspiration for him to reach where he was now. He recalled during the days of poverty, he went to find a job as a gardener at Don Domien’s mansion where one of the lackeys of the rich men broke protocols to allow him.
He offered him the job and told him that if he was able to use güns, he would get to the right side of the boss and would help him to finally meet Don Domien. In the palace, Padua bumped into James who was in a hurry as Salonga requested for his help when he saw a new lackey who was sent over to punish Teddy and Diana.
Arturo told James that Lily was searching for him. He went to see Lily and Lily asked where he was. He told him that he was busy with other things. Lily made him do copies of the speech which would be delivered during her charity project for everyone to have a share.
James also has his own agenda and planned not to allow the evil works of Lily to come into fruition. He set his weapons and placed them inside his bag. Ellen called Hipolito and put the phone on a louder speaker for him to talk to Mariano. Mariano told him that Lily had been iñsülting him and always reproached him. Now she has given him a speech which he could not even memorise.
Hipolito said there was no need for him to memorise the speech because he would deliver a new speech which he would present. Mariano felt happy with that and now decided to work for Renato and Ellen instead of Lily. In Batangas, Delfin and the group had a talk to device a strategy to save Teddy and Diana.
They did not want Cardo to go with them due to his condition. They wondered how they would even find where Teddy and Diana were held hostage. Virgie approached them to vent her anger on them, asking them to act fast before their enemies k!lled her husband just like what had happened to Alyana.
She told Cardo that he would be blamed if her husband suffered the same fate as her daughter. Ramil seemed happy with how Virgie was reacting. Delfin calmed her. As James was leaving the palace, Delfin called him to ask for his help in finding the location of Teddy and Diana. They planned to meet right away.
Delfin left with the guys but Jerome, Tadpole and Patrick were left behind to take care of Cardo. Cardo wept bitterly for losing the only woman he lõved and wondered what he was still doing in the world. He found his life meaningless since his wife had left him and thought about ending his life. Jerome advised him not to talk that way.
Cardo felt that he was being punished and did not know where he went wrong. He lost a son and now a wife. Jerome consoled him as he shared endless tears. Ramil, on the other hand was upset to risk his life to help Cardo who he could no longer trust. They left for the place where James told them he would meet them.
On their way, Greco tried talking to Ramil to patch things up with Cardo but he refused. He even told them that he would be out of the group to join Lito since Boss Lito had offered him a job. Hipolito left home to the press conference and told Jacob that he would return as a free man.
Elsewhere, Yolly was sad about the development as she thought the family would live happily once again. Flora was hurt by Alyana’s departure and wondered how her parents would take the whole issue. Lily asked of Salonga and was told since morning they had not seen him around. She went to Mariano’s room to prepare him for the press conference.
He forgot his speech and Lily took it for him. Unbeknowst, Ellen has written a new speech as dictated by Renato. The press conference began and Lily was amazed to realize that Mariano delivered a completely different speech and had told the public that Renato was just a victim of circumstance and all the allegations against him were mere lies peddled by Cardo Dalisay.
He said Cardo was a criminal who had even kidnapped Arturo’s daughter and ordered for him to be eliminated immediately. Elsewhere, Delfin and the former Task Force arrived at the rendezvous place and James was not there yet. Ramil asked if the person would come and General Borja said he trusted his ally because he had worked with Diana for a long time.
Soon James arrived and gave them a map of the place to make them identify the spot where Teddy and Diana were held hostages and where the goons of Lily and Padua were. He told them that Diana and Teddy were being tortured and needed help right away. Delfin gave the map to Basco and told James about the passing of Alyana and Cardo being injured.
James was sad about the development and left right away to see Salonga at the place where he was keeping eyes on Diana and Teddy. They saw that extra goons were brought in the van to secure the place. Back at the press conference, Mariano went on to say that he had told Hipolito to surrender to him and had assured him of his freedom.
To everyone’s dismay, Hipolito showed up and surrendered to the president. The president acquitted him from all the charges and stopped the media from interviewing him. Jacob who was watching the press conference on his laptop was amazed by Hipolito. Lily could not contain her anger and Padua did not find the press conference funny.
Lily called Mariano a traitor for going against her will to do something different. Ellen who was enjoying the scenery, secretly followed Mariano to his room and told the PSGs who were securing Mariano not to reveal to anyone that she was part of the scheme. She spoke over the phone with Hipolito who was already home and was well congratulated by Jacob.
Hipolito assigned those PSGs to secure Mariano from Lily because now his life would be put in danger and promised to pay them huge sums. Lily wanted to see Mariano but the PSG officers prohibited her. Lily and Padua had no doubts that Hipolito was behind it and had paid them well for the dirty job. She threatened to sack them the following day, yet, they did not allow Lily to be in Mariano’s room.
Meanwhile, Lito still recalled how he counter-crossed the man who allowed him into Don Damien’s mansion and trained him on how to shōõt. He said he did all that and was ready to dine with the devil all because he wanted to be wealthy to win Alyana.
He went to see Mr Ramon to inform him that he was yet to receive a reply from the letters he had been writing to Alyana through the address he gave him. Ramon promised to talk to Maring to inform Alyana for her to reply to him. He made Lito promise him not to forget him once he made it and Lito also swore.
After k!lling Max, his helper, Lito occupied the man’s position in Don Damien’s mansion and Salvador together with his other lackey became his ally.
