Govt announces that Kwaku Agyeman-Manu is living with COVID-19….proven the minister as untruthful

The President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has confirmed that the Health Minister, Kwaku Agyeman-Manu who denied his COVID-19 status is indeed positive for the virus.

According to him, the minister contracted the virus at the discharge of his duties.

Speaking in a televised address in Accra on Sunday, President Akufo-Addo assured that Mr Agyeman-Manu was responding to treatment and appealed for prayer on his behalf.

He also used the opportunity to console the bereaved family of the Mayor of Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly (STMA), Anthony KK Sam for their loss.

Nana Akufo-Addo noted that Mr Sam did a great job for the country and it was quite unfortunate for him to lose his life at the time that the country needed him the most.

He said the nation would remember his selfless action and the manner he championed the COVID-19 fight at the STMA.

President Akufo-Addo urged the citizenry to remain discipline and observe the safety protocols in order to aid the fight against the pandemic.

That, he indicated would help speed up actions to bring back the country to normalcy.
