Legally Blind Episode 13 Edward proposes marriage to Grace, Anton disagrees with the marriage
Grace made Edward call Charie. As the call went through, Edward passed the phone to Grace for her to talk to Charie. Charie warned her not to talk to her anymore, she did not want anything to do with the family. She blamed Grace for her misfortune but Grace kept begging her to come home, Marissa was distressed by her absence. Charie hanged up on her.
Grace cried asking Edward to help her search for her. Edward said she should be fine since she has spoken with Charie to know she was alright. Edward advised Grace to have a rest otherwise she would be stressed out as a matter of fact Charie did not want to be by the family. He asked Grace to give Charie time to think things over.
In her search for job, Charie went to a bar and the manager seeing how elegant she looked wanted to use her as men escort. She sent her to one man but Charie refused and left with her bag. Due to how things were, Edward could not make it to his parent’s date with Grace. His father did not like it that Grace disappointed them.
Edward explained that Grace’s sister ran from home and the family were sad about it, hence the reason Grace could not grace the occasion with him. Aton seemed not happy with the movement, saying if not for Edward he would not support the relationship as Grace seemed to always be occupied by other things.
Elizabeth indicated Grace was a beautiful girl and since she was the person Edward wanted, as parent they would give their blessings. Marissa whose temperature was being checked by Nina became agitated realising Grace abandoned her date with Edward. She wanted to be the one to find Charie but Grace stopped her and asked her to calm down.
Elsewhere, Charie walked for several hours and was tired. She collapsed and fell in the arms of Williams. Grace tried to make Marissa understand that Charie wanted to be alone for a while and she blamed herself for it. Marissa said sorry to Grace for making her caught in between that.
The next day, the Villarreal and the Santillan Law Firm was decorated to welcome Attorney Grace. She came with her boss and was surprised to witness such a Special Welcome party. Grace was grateful to Edward for his support.
Soon, a birthday party of Charie was thrown in her name during her absence. Later, Edward helped Grace through reading lessons and was by her side through her going out and coming in. Grace finally, had an opportunity to have a lunch with the Villarreals and was glad to have met the parent of Edward. Grace promised not to let go of Edward and her dreams.
Months later, at the law firm, Grace came across a discussion about an incident which a witness was critical but Grace expressed her views about how the lawyers could handle such a case even without a witness account. John arrived and ushered Grace to a serene ambiance, set up by Edward to propose to Grace.
Grace felt the rose petals and sat. She realised it was special set up. As she kept touching to have a clue on what it was about, she felt the ring. Edward got there and James left. Edward professed that he truly l*ved her and ever since he set eyes on her, he realised that he has found that better half that he wanted to spend all his life time with.
He knew time was measurable, and one could measure every hour, minutes and each single second but when he met her he lost track of time and never felt the existence of time anymore. He wanted to be with her every single second, minute, hour and was ready to spend the rest of his life with her.
Edward knelt and asked Grace if he would be his wife and Grace said YES to the proposal. Edward put his ring on her finger. Grace told her family about it. The family were proud of her, Nina wanted her sister to make her the bride’s maid of the wedding. Marissa was however, quiet yet happy for her daughter.
Edward told his parents about his marriage proposal to Grace and Anton asked if Grace was pregnant. He said no, Anton said he knew it. He queried Edward why he was in a rush to marry her. To Anton, rape victims were not easy to please and she would not allow Edward to even touch her.
Edward wondered why his father was saying all that since he knew everything concerning his relationship with Grace. Anton said marriage was a serious business and Edward would have to be by Grace’s side each step of the way. Edward knew what he was putting himself into and was okay with it but Anton kept making him realise the complications involved with marrying a person with disability and also a victim of a r@pe incident. He said things were not easy like that and living in one room with Grace would make him realise what he was saying.
His wife interjected that they should support Edward, already Grace has been through a lot and needed them to be by her side. Later, Grace was sent to the Villarreal’s mansion by Edward. Elizabeth said she never had a daughter and now that she would be married to her son, she should consider herself as the daughter she never had. She assured her of her support. She left to prepare something for them.
Edward had a call and he told Grace he would receive the call outside. As Grace was alone Anton got there and told Grace that he wanted to have a talk with her. He told Grace that Edward meant a lot to him and wanted the best for his son. He admitted Grace being so good but he wanted a person beyond that for his son. A person who could build a family with Edward and do sacrifices for his son the manner he sacrificed a lot for him.
“Let’s face it Grace you are blind.
How are you supposed to build a family with my son?”
Grace felt uncomfortable. Anton asked Grace to think about his issue carefully, adding that he had no issue against Grace, all he wanted was the best for Edward. Edward went in to find Grace disturbed. She demanded to leave and Edward asked what was wrong with her but she said nothing. Edward saw her off and she cried in the house, thinking about what Anton said.
