NDC’s campaign has woefully collapsed in confusion— President Akufo-Addo claims

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has claimed that the campaign of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)  has woefully collapsed in confusion and currently streaming in the drainage.

According to him, the flagbearer of the opposition NDC Party, John Dramani Mahama was throwing dust into the eyes of Ghanaians by claiming he was the originator of the flagship programme, free Senior High School (SHS).

Speaking at a campaign tour of Odokor in the Ablekuma North Constituency, President Akufo-Addo stated that Mahama was a blatant liar looking for means to seek the presidential seat with unnecessary political gimmicks.

He explained that the lies of the flagbearer was borne out of one thing, that is, his campaign was failing to catch up with the electorates.

“Mahama’s lies are borne out of one thing, and that is, his campaign is failing to catch up with the electorates. He has seen that his campaign is collapsing in confusion, fabrications and now outright lies,” President Akufo-Addo emphasised.

He recalled that Mahama failed to recognise the need to help Ghanaians especially the vulnerable by enrolling some incentives that would go a long way to help the ordinary Ghanaians.

President Akufo-Addo backslashing ex-president Mahama on his Twitter page said Mahama has always took liberty in his political utterance that Ghanaians have short memories, thus was strongly fuelling an agenda which in other means could affirm to his statement that the citizenry do have short memories.

He said Ghanaians are discerning and are intelligible beings who would never forget that Mr Mahama some years ago claimed the Free SHS policy could not be actualised until 20 years time.

“In the run-up to the 2008, 2012 and 2016 campaigns, John Mahama and the NDC said I was deceiving Ghanaians, and that it was a vote buying gimmick and that for Free SHS to be possible, it will take about 20 years.

Not long ago, he said  if he had GH¢2 billion, he will not use it to pay school fees rather he will invest it into something worthwhile,” President Akufo-Addo stressed.

He therefore called on the citizenry to read between the lies and the truth to know that the opposition flagbearer was being inconsistent with most of his campaign speech.

President Akufo-Addo appealed to the citizenry to give him four more years to continue implementing good policies geared towards nation building and helping ordinary Ghanaians gain better life.

He said his government came in at a time that the country needed development and has delivered even to the dismay of his political opponents and urged Ghanaians to strongly back him up in the forthcoming December 7 polls to create jobs and improve infrastructure in the country.

“I am looking for a massive endorsement for the people of Ghana for that blueprint which is set out in our manifesto of 2020. So, this year, I am pleading with you, I don’t want it in ‘boom’. but I want it in ‘boom! boom! boom!’” he appealed.
