Ghana movies are unreal-Fred Amugi

Veteran actor, Fred Nii Amugi has expressed disappointment in the way the nation’s movies were  presented in an unreal manner.

According to him, movies were supposed to be real, something that appeal to emotions and illustrate real life situation.

“Movie is believing and when you do not act and cast it in that manner people will tune off,” he stated.

Fred Amugi regretted that the current industry was derailing from the pace they set.

That, he stated had made lots of Ghanaians lose interest in the country’s movie.

In order to revive the industry, the award winning actor urged movie producers and directors to introduce the aged in movies.

Speaking on United Showbiz as monitored by, he said transforming young actors to play the role of an elderly person did not sound right, saying, the act is sinking the industry and called on stakeholders to desist from it.

Fred Amugi noted that Nigerians make movies real, thus Ghana movie producers should emulate their steps to help the industry compete well in the market.

He also urged actors and actresses to be humble and respect each other, this Fred Amugi observed could help them to excel in the industry.
