Betrayal (Halik) Episode 61 Jacky cries after paternity test confirms Lino as the father of Jade’s child
Still at Dos Disenyos in the evening, while Jacky and Barry were thinking about the whereabout of Lino, Chari and Ken got there asking what was bothering them.
Ken smelt Jade over the issue after seeing Jacky’s demeanor. They were informed that Jade claimed the baby she was carrying was Lino’s child.
Ken wondered how Lino got her pregnant, wondering if it was virtual $e×. Barry indicated that Jade was just trapping Lino. Chari told Jacky that they should camp in her condo for them to have a drink.
Jade at the hospital convinced Lino for him to extend a helping hand to her. She thanked Lino for helping her even when he did not know the child she was expecting was for him, adding that she would understand if he failed to help her. Lino left while Marissa got in.
Aliyah saw that Ace was spacing out so she wanted to get close to him. She thought Ace wanted something else so she began to woo Ace to bed her but Ace resisted and left.
Lino went to stand somewhere to think how possible he could be the father of Jade’s child. A flashback showed that Lino approached Jade on bed while on vacation with her.
Jade was going through her phone and Lino threw it aside for them to get intimate.
In the condo, Chari advised Jacky to let Lino handle the situation. Lino informed his mom about him being the father of Jade’s child.
Dolor was worried that Jade would use the baby as a bait to get what she wanted from Lino but Lino promised not to allow that to happen.
He later joined Jade at the hospital. At Dos Disenyos, Lino blew the ugly truth of Ace not being the father of the baby. He said he was conducting a test on the baby to ensure Jade was telling the truth.
In the club, Ace was frustrated about Jade’s betrayal but Vince said it was a good thing since he was now free. Ace got upset that his friend was teasing him.
He was later caught by the police for drinking and driving. Gio who went there to help his brother got upset with Ace for his action as well as blowing up his chance of dating Maggie.
Lino imagined how living with his estranged wife would be; whether he would act like nothing had happened and live happily with Jade, caressing Jade’s pregnancy and showering eachother with k!$$es.
Lino received the results and it was confirmed that the baby was his. Barry asked if he could congratulate him.
The news became like a coin with two different faces. Whether it was a news to be celebrated with or for them to cry. Jacky after reading the results felt like the world has befallen on her.
After brooding about the bittersweet news, Lino thanked Jacky for advising him to take care of Jade. She said if she did not urge him he would still have helped Jade out. She said she was sure Lino could make a great father.
Chari and Ken saw that Jacky was affected by the paternity test results and her friends asked her to voice out the truth.
She confessed that she had expected the result to be negative but once the result was released her world crumbled and her chance to be happy again was gone. She said it hurt so bad and did not know when she started feeling that way for Lino.
During a family dinner, Lino brought his estranged wife in. The family gossiped about Jade’s presence. They were extremely unhappy to see the adulterous woman in their abode.
Lino told them that Jade would stay with them and pleaded with them to understand the situation since he was the baby’s father.
The friends of Jacky consoled her, saying if Lino was meant for her the universe will fight on her behalf.
Back to the Bartolomes, Tat said last week the baby was for Ace , this week it is Lino’s and next week it will be for Ed. Ed interjected that she should count him out.
Lino was not happy about how his family was taking the incident as joke. Lino insisted that he was not fooled by his two-timing wife, he conducted a test on the child which came out as positive so he was only asking for a few more days.
The family said Jade had told them that she did not want to be an intruder but she was one. Fe said “that is how life is; it is like a wheel it keeps spinning.”
Maggie approached Jade and confronted her. She said she would not be swayed by her tears.
Dolor wished she could celebrate the pregnancy of Jade and for her being a grandma but could not due to the circumstance surrounding the pregnancy.
Lino said even though he could not stand Jade anymore he would take full responsibility of the child.
Dolor advised Maggie to stop adding salt to Lino’s injury. She said Lino needed their support as he was also going through hard time into accepting a woman who cheated on him for them to raise a kid together.
Fe told Dolor that it was not their fault because she was also trying to protect the family in order for their grandchildren to know it was not right to cheat while married.
Dolor admitted to have raised Lino as gullible and pledged to support him. Jade tried to gain Lino’s attention. She hugged Lino and cried. She said she knew Dolor would find it hard to make the rest of the family come to terms with her stay in the house.
Lino told her that he would handle the situation so Jade should have some rest.
