FDA is not recruiting— CEO warns against fake recruitment advertisement

The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has called on the public to disregard any form of advertisement that claims the authority is recruiting people.

It said it has not put out such advertisement or authorised any agency to conduct recruitment on its behalf, hence the warning.

According to a statement issued in Accra on Monday and signed by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of FDA, Mrs Delese Darko, the FDA has noticed that some unscrupulous people were using their name to defraud people through recruitment advertisement.

It explained that information regarding vacancies and recruitment would be published on the FDA’s website and cautioned the public against such fake recruitment claims.

“The public is to note that all announcements of vacancies will only be published on the official website and the national dailies and applications for employment can only be addressed to the FDA and no other agency,” the statement said.

It further urged the public to take note and not be lured into paying any sum of money as a facilitation fee for the purpose of the recruitment.

“Persons who choose to engage in such fraudulent activities do so at their own risk. The public is hereby warned,” the statement added.
