Until We Meet Again Episode 5 Calvin saves Ana from Odessa’s death trap
Ana became restless as her gestures kept signalling Calvin that something was wrong. Calvin asked her what was wrong he stood and saw the townspeople approaching with the Barangay police together with his friend.
Calvin was upset with his friend for going against his wish. The townspeople kept saying the creature was dangerous and would attack them.
Calvin said she was harmless and her name was Angela. The local officials who were holding canes tried to get Angela and Calvin jumped to her defence. He tried to fight them off to prevent them from taking Ana his Angela with them but they were too many so he could not fight them.
After they took her away, Calvin was also restless he regretted for asking his friend to inform the authorities. His friend tried calming him but he confronted him for informing the barangay police who dragged Ana away like a monster or better still a thief.
Meanwhile, Evelyn kept brooding over Ana, she took her picture which was framed and prayed to God to protect and take good care of her daughter wherever she was. She also prayed to make her find her.
However, Claire called her friend to ask her to find a buyer for the watch she stole since she was planning to leave Evelyn’s house after the incident with Ana’s doll.
After calming her nerves, Evelyn went to apologise to Clair for scolding her because of the doll. She asked her not to go home yet so that they could go for shopping.
They went to the mall and Evelyn bought Claire a lot of things including a watch. She left her for a while and some girls from Claire’s school harassed her. In the middle of their argument, they threw away all the items Evelyn bought for her, calling her a cheap person since she was poor and adopted. When Evelyn got back, she found Claire crying and consoled her.
Claire felt touched by Evelyn’s actions so when they got back to the house, she called her friend to tell her that she would not sell the watch. She did not want to lose Evelyn’s trust. She added that it was the first time in a while that she felt as if she had a mother.
She waited until Evelyn fell asleep and quietly went to her room to return the watch in its case.
Calvin was devastated, he worried about the welfare of Ana and could not shake off the feeling that she was being harassed and treated like an animal. He packed up his things along with his friend so that he they could leave to Manila.
Seeing how restless he was, his friend suggested that they passed by the municipal hall to see how Ana was doing so that Calvin would stop worrying.
After Odessa learnt that Ana had been caught, she went to the station to kill her. She disguised herself in a hood and beat up the guard at the municipal watching Ana with a stick till he fell unconscious.
She made her way inside, Ana who was sleeping suddenly woke up when she heard someone approaching. Odessa wanted to stab Ana and kill her so that Ana would never return to her parents but her plans were ruined when Calvin showed up. She ran away while Calvin took Ana away with him.
Ana due to the incident was restless when Calvin took her away. He had to calm her down to stop her from barking. He gave her a snack to eat and she finally fell asleep. Calvin embarked on a journey to Manila with her.
Claire’s father went to get her from Evelyn’s house but Evelyn did not want to allow him to take her away since he has been abusing her. The man who adopted Claire denied the accusations. Helen who was there too asked if Claire had been lying. Evelyn invited Claire’s father inside so that they could talk about the issue.
He told Evelyn and Helen that he only slapped Claire due to her stubbornness but he never abused her. Evelyn asked him how he adopted Claire. She explained that Claire had already told her that she was adopted. Her father told Evelyn that she found Claire by the side of the road when she was really young.
She was crying and did not know where her home was and since he did not have a child, he and his wife decided to adopt her.
Evelyn felt as if the story fit Ana’s disappearance and thought that Claire could be her missing daughter. She therefore asked Claire’s father to let her run a DNA test on her. Claire agreed to undergo the test hoping that Evelyn might be her mother. She asked her father to let her stay with Evelyn once more for the night so that they could get to know each other well.
Odessa in fury went back to the house and packed up her stuff, as well as aunt Conching’s own. Conching did not understand Odessa after blaming her for Ana’s freedom now she was packing suddenly. Odessa said that they would be moving to Manila.
Conching insisted the last time such incident happened she was running from a crime and Odessa said nothing had happened.
Calvin and his friend stopped by to buy some snacks to eat as Ana slept but she woke up as they were talking to the food vendor and the woman got scared by Ana’s bark and her looks. Calvin decided to go without any food and they went back to the car.
They proceeded on their journey to Manila. Ana hit the window screen of the car and Calvin realised she wanted to view outside properly so he rolled down the glasses.
Ana got her head through the window, it was dark as it was night and for the first time viewing a road side like that she got scared. Calvin decided to help her do away with her fears so he also viewed through the window to imitate her howling.
He howled and barked like her as Ana dealt with her fears and also joined Calvin to bark and howl. His friend while driving the car looked at them and could not imagine how happy Calvin was in the company of his Angela. He smiled while he drove on!
Evelyn took a picture of Ana and said she would definitely be given an opportunity by life to meet her again. As she was lying on her bed, Claire came there and requested to sleep next to her. Claire had been yearning to have a mother after she lost hers, Evelyn was happy to have her next to her.
She laid her head on Evelyn as the later cop her hand on her face and hair. Elmo was tired and he stopped somewhere for them to stretch when Ana was calmed.
Elmo asked what Calvin would do with Ana and Calvin said he hasn’t decided yet but blamed himself for Ana’s injury. He was determined to get her treated.
