A Mother’s Guilt Episode 44 Asuncion use dubious means to uncover Domeng’s hideout
“We are not the people they should underestimate, you know! We have our own tricks.”
Asuncion and his armed men waited to follow Sonya and Domeng. He showed the goons Domeng’s picture. After they saw Sonya and her family departing in a bus they also went for their motorcycle to tail them.
Asuncion called Jacob to inform him that they had seen Sonya and her family and would soon execute their plan.
Letty came in to tell Marjorie that Jean and Jacob would soon be there as Sonya texted her that they were on their way.
Katrina also told Marjorie to hurry.
The guard stopped Jacob to ask him whether he has seen Katrina. Jean texted Letty that they were there. Letty rushed to inform Marjorie that Jean has signaled her that they had arrived.
Katrina went to where the CCTV footage machine was kept and deleted everything that showed their presence in the house.
She said she was wise and learnt some few tricks from Jacob.
“So who is st^pid now I am not that st^pid Jacob,” Katrina smiled.
Jean and Jacob arrived, Jean wanted Jacob to do something and he said he was tired.
Marjorie and Letty ran in search for Katrina and they saw her, at that time Jacob was in so they went inside the room and locked themselves.
Nessa was worried that Domeng’s life was in danger but Cora asked her not to worry. Samboy asked where Domeng would be and she said he had to be in the safe house.
Goons vrs the Alipios
The henchmen crossed the bus which the Alipios together with their loyal female lawyer, Attorney Vega were in.
When Paco came down from the bus the goons pointed their guns at him. They surrounded Paco and were demanding for Domeng. Paco lifted his two hands just to communicate to them that he has surrendered.
However, Sonya held Domeng tightly as Domeng hid his face in the bus. Attorney Vega looked so worn out surprised to see the goons.
Back in Montecillo’s mansion, Jacob smelt something fishy. He stayed alert:
“Something not right!” He shook his finger and had his ears widely opened to detect whether there was a sound.
“It feels like somebody is here,” Jacob wanted Jean not to make any sound.
“What?” Jean asked anxiously. Jacob took few steps to where the irregular sounds were coming from.
“Don’t go!…” Jean exclaimed.
“It is dangerous!” Jean refrained Jacob from searching for the unscrupulous beings who raided his house.
Jacob overheard some noise in one of the rooms.
The Goons vrs the Alipios
The goons fought Paco and Sonya for Domeng. When they finally got hold of Domeng and removed his hat. They realised that the guy in the orange attire and blue hat was not Domeng but Unyo.
They got confused because he was not their target, leaving them in a dilemma whether to shoot them or not. Suddenly the police got there, Jojo grabbed them.
“Somebody is here,” Jacob tried to open the door but it was locked.
“It feels like somebody is here” Jacob suspected. He asked Jean for the keys and Jean said the key might be in the master bedroom.
Sensing that her plans might collapsed, Jean convinced Jacob to get to the master room for them to check their valuables and also for the keys.
“All the valuables are in the master’s bed room so let’s go and see if they have stolen something,” Jean convinced Jacob.
Sonya held one of the goons and asked him whether he was sent by Jacob to finish off her son. He did not utter a word, Jojo and Rizalina took them away.
“Looks like everything is here!” Jean heave a sigh of relief.
“I guess you are being too paranoid” Jean urged him to calm down as there was no call for alarm.
“What do you mean?” Jacob asked, He took out his gun to hunts the unscrupulous people.
“Hun…hun… I don’t think there is the need to do that,” Jean tried stopping Jacob.
“We need this for our protection.”
“We are not dealing with common thieves here,” Jacob hissed.
Katrina, Marjorie and Letty ran from the room in which they hid and descended down. They heard footsteps so they ran and hid in another available room.
Clumsy Katrina
As they closed the door unfortunately for Katrina, the tip of her blouse was locked when the door closed. She could not move and she realised the door had locked with the tip of her blouse.
She was left in a dilemma as she could not open the door to remove her dress since the sound could draw Jacob’s attention also the tip of the dress would make Jacob realised there was someone in there. They became tensed in the room, thinking of what they could do in order for Jacob not to find them there.
Jacob descended down and Jean followed him. They got closer to the room which Katrina, Letty and Marjorie were hidden in.
Jean saw the dress of Katrina showing and suddenly hugged Jacob to distract him.
Letty helped and removed Katrina’s dress from the door and diligently shut the door.
When Katrina heaves a sigh of relief, Marjorie who was upset thinking of means they could escape without getting hurt pushed Katrina from where she was standing, she hit a table and a toy which was on it fell.
Jacob overheard something and Jean tried to save the day, it was revealed that Letty was fast and caught the toy from falling. Clumsy Katrina stood with her eyes wide opened, getting scared with what might befall on them, “that was close.”
“Let’s leave the house till we think the house is safe for us,” Jean pulled out another strategy.
“I don’t know who to trust anymore,” Jacob went wild.
“You can trust me,” Jean interjected.
“I need to keep you safe,” Jacob assured Jean.
“Okay in order to catch the people go and search upstairs and let me search here,” Jean told Jacob when she realised Jacob’s ultimate aim was to hunt those who raided his house.
“Honey you can not protect yourself,” Jacob told Jean but the later showed him a gun from her bag and said she could protect herself.
“Nice work Domeng,” Anna while driving commended Domeng.
A flashback revealed that after Attorney Vega lauded Domeng for speaking well when filing a case against Jacob, Paco sent him to a washroom to meet Anna who gave him a new shirt to change.
She knocked on another door in the washroom for Unyo to come out. Unyo then left with Paco and went with Sonya and Attorney Vega in the bus while Anna who was also in disguise drove Domeng in her personal car when everyone left.
Anna received a text and gave the phone to Domeng to read it. Domeng said Paco together with the family were attacked and the police have caught the goons.
“We are not the people they should underestimate, you know! We have our own tricks you know,” Anna said.
“Well Domeng let’s just celebrate our little victory, you deserve it,” Anna told Domeng.
Jean opened Katrina, Marjorie and Letty and helped them to sneak out of the house and went back into the room for Jacob not to suspect her.
“Hun…I have checked the office (house office) and everywhere I cann’t see anyone,” Jean said.
“Yeah I checked every room and no one was there,” Jacob also said.
“Honey that is false alarm,” Jean tried brushing off the idea of the house being reused from the mind of Jacob.
“But how do you explain the guard saying he has seen Katrina” Jacob still was not convinced.
“Honey, I remember Katrina surrendered all her keys before she left and besides she was my executive secretary she can’t harm us,” Jean said.
“She can be dangerous, I don’t know” Jacob did not want Jean to trust Katrina.
“Stop Hun stop you are being paranoid,” Jean added.
“Didn’t you just see the guard said he saw Katrina. They killed Roman and now they want to get me through her,” Jacob became scared.
“Unless….”
“Unless what?” Jean anxiously asked.
“Unless Sonya gave her my documents and she spread it on Social media. I am sure” Jacob suspected.
“Why don’t you check your office now, to check if all your documents are intact,” Jean hissed.
“You are right!” Jacob agreed.
The goons were in the police custody and they took pictures together with the crime they committed.
Rizalina and Jojo recalled the false alarm and how SPO3 Asuncion appeared. They suspected Suarez had a police assistance in doing the dirty job. Sonya talked to Rizalina and Jojo. She thanked them for their assistance.
Attorney Vega and Paco pressed charges against the goons for the ambush.
Paco said they did so many bad things and charged them of:
“Physical injury, attempted kidnapping, illegal possession of fire arms.”
The henchman said he would need a lawyer.
Fine I will give you a right to counsel but I assure you, you will still remain here due to the criminal charges against you. Oh let me tell you this, I will enjoy putting evil men like you in jail,” Attorney Vega fumes.
Nessa spoke with Samboy, Cora, Asyong and Mabel. They were worried about the welfare of Domeng but Anna came in with Domeng, saying he has arrived home safely. Nessa hugged him.
At the station Sonya told SPO3 Asuncion what had happened and Asuncion hit Suarez as a form of punishment for engaging in a crime.
Sonya then said during the attack Jojo and Rizalina came to their defence and apprehended the henchmen.
Marjorie, Letty and Katrina reached home and were happy that Domeng successfully pressed the charges and had reached home in safety.
They went behind their computer to check whether their operation was successful. There was no signal and they thought they failed but later the signal came and were happy that they would soon monitor Jacob’s moves, uncover his secret and gain evidence against him.
In Sonya’s mansion they celebrated Domeng’s safety. Domeng thanked Unyo and toasted for Unyo. Nessa asked Paco to say his wish for a toast and Paco said it was Georgette’s birthday so they used the opportunity to also celebrate the birthday of Georgette. They toasted for her memories to cheer Paco up but Anna stood afar unhappy.
Marjorie, Katrina and Letty thought of their plans to trap Jacob. Later, Letty left and Katrina and Marrjorie talked about the people Jacob has eliminated. Marjorie cleansed her gun and they watched Jacob on their computer making a call.
Rizalina saw that Asuncion has gotten a call and was sneaking out. Being a law breaker he guided his steps diligently for no police officer to uncover his real identity.
Jacob confronted him for his failed mission and he said Jojo destroyed his work and was planning to take JoJo and Rizalina off Sonya’s case.
“I don’t care just do your job,” Jacob said he would pay him in full if he do a good job.
“If you want to be paid in full do your gad demn job,” he added.
Jean came to knock on the door of Jacob’s office to inform him that it was late so they should go to bed.
Jacob told her to go ahead and sleep he would join her later. Jean realised the hidden camera and got in to talk to Jacob that how did he wants her to go and sleep all by herself especially with what happened earlier.
She said they should go and sleep together. Jacob saw the toy and asked Jean how it got there, Jean said it was beautiful that was why it was there. Jacob was suspicious.
Sonya and Anna talked about Paco and Anna said at that point she wanted Paco to be happy again.
Anna cried that she missed her mother and she was making it hard for her to understand her.
Marjorie monitored and later fell asleep. Jacob realising Jean was asleep woke up and head out.
“Mom should not have met him in the first place and now he is turning her against me,” Anna cried.
Anna said the time that she needed Jean the most she was no where to be found.
“Sometimes I just wish that she could be more like you,” Anna told Sonya while Sonya wiped off her tears and told her that every mother loved their children and Jean was no exception. She loved her and in so many ways protected her.
Jacob went to open his safe box in his secret room and took Edward Lamoste’s rollers watch. He recalled how Roman got the watch for him.
He took a bag full of money, placed in the watch and said “catch me if you can“.
Sonya went to buy some groceries and when she was heading home she saw a car approaching in her direction.
She got scared, for a moment she thought it was another attack but when the person came out it was Asuncion.
He asked Sonya where Domeng was and Sonya happily told him.
Meanwhile at the station Rizalina forced Suarez to talk and reveal his accomplices but he was adamant. She tried convincing him if he could expose the person but he acted smartly.
Asuncion asked Sonya why plenty groceries and she said for the family. He helped her out and took her in his car. He laughed as the plan was working.
Attorney Balmaceda brought Jacob documents that his pre-trial would be a month later. He also asked him to prepare himself for anything and not go anywhere.
“What Dou you mean?” Jean asked.
“Which means anytime soon Jacob will be under arrest,” Balmaceda said.
He said within few weeks the NBI would carry out their investigation on the death of Roman based on the testimony of the Alipio brothers.
Jacob threatened him that he was fired since he could not do anything to avert the situation.
“Honey I think it is wise to let him stay,” Jean backed Attorney Balmaceda.
“Honey I trust him, and I want you to do same because he is doing everything possible to help your situation besides we don’t know who to trust,” Jean added.
“Thank you for your vote of confidence,” Attorney Balmaceda was grateful to Jean. Jacob sacked him from his house after Balmaceda said the issue was murder case.
“Get out of my house, out” Balmaceda then took his leave.
Sonya happily brought Asuncion to see Domeng and told Domeng that he has a visitor. Asuncion said Domeng was fully secured there and promised her maximum protection.
Sonya was happy that he cared about Domeng’s safety. He spied around, thinking of his next line of action against Domeng.
