Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 28 Ling finds a lead to Pato, Charleston threatens Gina
Gina confronted Charleston and told him that she already knew Geline as the owner of the security at Edward’s condo. She told him to come clean whether he and Carlo were responsible for Edward’s déåth.
Charleston wondered why she would think that way but Gina knew what he and her son were capable of. Charleston said what happened during their childhood years wouldn’t happen again.
However, they took some part of the video from it and showed the video to Gina. Gina after watching the video believed it would be better if they give the video to the police so that they take attention from Charleston.
Charleston warned her against that as that would land him and Carlo in trouble. He wanted to handle everything. As Snoop and Irene crossed paths, Ling decided to search for Pato when the black feather and her memories about Pato to open up about her past life rushed back.
She evaded her security and bumped into a certain lady who looked exactly like Pato on the streets. She mistook her for Pato and apologised. But, she asked her if she knew Pato.
The woman mistook her for a scam and warned her against drawing closer. Ling was almost knocked down by a car if not Bingo who came to her rescue.
She was asking some two traders if they knew Pato she was willing to pay them for the information. Bingo promised to help her out with his connection.
Elsewhere, Irene dreamt that she had given birth to a boy who looked exactly like Snoop. The giggles of the baby scared her and she threw the child away. She woke up and screamed out.
Bingo told Ling not to escape from Aunty Cathy and her bodyguard. She made her hop on and sent her to Cathy’s place. The following day, Wilson had a talk with his new employee Grace Villanuna together with his family but Ling was not part of it.
As Ling and Bingo were working at the warehouse, Bingo got informed that Pato has been found. He told Ling and they went to meet Snoop. Bingo had promised to give Snoop 5 grand so he helped him out.
They saw the woman and it was not the Pato that Ling was searching for but different Pato. Fortunately, the Pato who Ling met knew the right Pato Ling was searching for.
She showed her where Pato used to stay and Ling went there while Bingo returned to the warehouse. Ling confirmed from the land lady who came to throw Pato’s things on Ling, claiming Pato was owing rent.
Meanwhile, Jasmine came to search for Ling at the warehouse. Bingo texted her and she said she was on her way back. Gina wondered why she was not invited to the meeting.
As they were contemplating who to replace Wilson, Gina wanted to be chosen to replace Wilson as the CEO so that Wilson could be the chairman. Cindy protested since Gina was merely a mistress. That she believed would spark rumors.
Gina suggested that her son Carlo should occupy the position but Grace said the person to replace Wilson should be an outsider, a person who was not a Tiu. She made it known that already people were against the Tius so the company would be on his feet when someone else replaced Wilson.
She also suggested that the family should embark on more charitable deeds and attend public functions to regain the trust of the public. Charleston proposed to pay Geline another 5 million to keep their secret and give him access to all the surveillance footage at Edward’s condo.
Ling returned and Bingo went to meet her from her van. He ushered her in and wondered why she was late. The traffic was terrible that was the reason she gave to her lateness.
Cathy was so furious that she was late and threw an object at her but Bingo went to her defense. Ling confronted Cathy for her action. Though she was late, Cathy had no right to hurt Bingo.
Cathy explained that she came early to rely on Ling for ideas to boost the sales at the warehouse since she was younger and had fresh mind. She walked out and told Bingo to follow her.
At the meeting, Gina deemed it an ¡ñsült that they had to contact an outsider to be the company’s CEO while there was a legit person. Grace explained that they needed compassionate, good looking, charismatic to gain public sympathy.
Gina interjected that they needed an actor then. She told them that another issue about their son would take everyone by storm.
She walked out. Unbeknownst, Charleston overheard her and followed her to her car. He threatened her to keep her mouth shut because her son could go down with him.
Bingo explained things to Cathy about his reasons he allowed Ling to go and search for Pato. Later, Ling saw Bingo acting up due to what Cathy threw at him and she made him remove his shirt for her to see it. She realised that the place was swollen and decided to go for ice to treat it.
While working, Aunty Cathy’s words came to her mind and thought Bingo could be a great help to her. She Drew closer to him and told him that she needed him.
