Love Thy Woman Episode 31

Love Thy Woman Episode 31 Jia wins the custody of Michael as court nullifies Dana as the adoptive mother

David took a stand in court and swore to tell nothing but the truth. David admitted Dana had her flaws but was a good mother to Michael. However, he wanted Michael to be given back to his rightful mother, Jia.

To him, Jia was a victim of circumstance. Attorney Samenago established that David and Jia were ganging up on Dana since David had annulled his marriage with Dana and before their annulment, he kept seeing Jia. She also said Dana was the one suffering the most and wondered why David did not also view Dana as victim.

Later, Jia packed out and David offered a car which would transport her things to her new place. Jia was grateful for what David did. Jia and Kai settled in their new apartment, she was worried that Harry has still not shown up since the next hearing was Thursday.

Fast forward, Jia was sent into the witness box once more and Attorney Samenago insisted on her to present to the court evidence of the explosion that made her think her son was dead. Attorney Samenago demanded her to present a death certificate of her son as well. She also asked why her uncle has still not appeared in court and insisted that they were keeping him for their own advantage.

The question led an outburst from Kai in the court room. Later, David kept thinking about the earlier court incident for Jia to present an evidence of her son’s death certificate, if not, that would mean there was no reason to have one.

Dana called Attorney Samenago to inform her about the financial condition of Jia and during the hearing, Dana’s attorney was able to prove that Jia had no money to cater for Michael, hence Dana was in the best position to offer Michael a well and secured future. After the hearing, Dana was so happy since she was a step to victory.

However, Jia told her not to rejoice yet, anything could happen and the fact that Dana had money did not prove that she could be a good mother. Dana almost fought her but Lucy stopped her. Kai indicated that aside their money there was nothing to their personality.

Meanwhile, David who skip the hearing was in Cebu finding evidence to prove to the court that Jia was speaking the truth. He went to Cebu City Authority to gain a hint to go to the public library as there was a news article about the explosion incident at the hospital.

Later that evening, Jia received a surprise call from Harry who was now willing to testify against Lucy and promised to be in court during the next hearing. Jia was so glad and informed Kai.

However, Harry stood them up in the court room during the hearing, least did they know that after the call Harry was sent to a particular place by his boss to deliver a certain item. The judge added more time to ensure Harry make it but he did not show up.

Tension ran high, when it seemed all hope was lost for Jia, David stormed the court room, holding in his hand an evidence of an article that enlisted John Yu as one of the deceased during the explosion at the incubator ward. The tables had turned, Dana began to shiver when Attorney Samenago informed her that the evidence was now Jia’s biggest weapon and things could be go wrong for them.

After putting into consideration all the evidences before her, Judge Andeza requested to have a private chat with Michael in her chamber. Jia seemed not okay with that decision so her attorney raised an objection, however Attorney Samenago did not oppose since Dana had no problem with Judge Andeza’s decision. The court adjourned the case to two days time for the judge to have the private conversation with Michael.

Jia was still not happy about the judge’s decision since she felt that Michael could be traumatised and did not want to drag the boy into the mess. Dana believed Jia was saying that simply because she knew Michael’s loyalty lies with her. Adam interjected that indeed Michael’s loyalty lies with her since she did not wait to inform the boy that David has divorced her.

The issue, he said has had a negative toll on the boy but Dana insisted that she did the right thing for revealing the truth to Michael and instead of blaming her, he should rather pin the blame on Jia and David. In the house, Jia received a call from Adam, telling her that Dana manipulated the child and wanted her to have a talk with Michael. Jia spoke with Michael and was so happy.

After Judge Maria Andeza spoke with Michael to discover that Dana has manipulated him to think she would die if he failed to tell the judge he would be with her, she made the decision to annul the adoption of Michael and returned the child to Jia Estrella Wong. Dana was in shock and totally broke down. Adam who was present at the final hearing talked to her to understand that the judge made the right decision to give the child back to his biological mother.

Dana broke down and pointed a gun at Jia to scare and threaten her that she would not allow her to be happy at the expense of her own happiness. Adam tried to calm Dana. Jia wanted to go for Michael before Dana hurt him but Adam pleaded with Jia to have a little patience as Dana was shocked by the decision of the court. He promised to send Michael to her the next day.

Dana tried to flee with Michael but Adam and Lucy got there. Adam threatened to disown her if she dared run away with Michael. Meanwhile, Jia told her attorney that David had filed charges against Dana at the precinct. The lawyer believed that could help Jia gain a restraining order for Dana not to come close to Michael.

David wanted to go for Michael but Helen stopped him. Lucy advised Dana not to trade her properties for Michael since she did not give birth to him. Dana confessed how much she l*ved Michael and did not care if Adam would disown her, she was not ready to become a loser for Jia to gain a complete family.

Lucy told Dana to use her head and not give up her life for Michael. She said the important thing was for Dana to be rich that would be her victory.
