L*ve Thy Woman Episode 44 Lucy is arrested and sent to court for k!lling her husband, Adam Wong
Patrick arrived at the office to inform David that the cheque Dana signed was cancelled. David was surprised and ironically said Dana was a woman of her word. The board members assured Jia of their support and said she had a compassionate heart and they knew Adam made the decision for the welfare of the company. They pledged to help her seek justice for Adam.
Dana told a worker to check the CCTV footage to fire all workers who welcomed Jia. As Jia was going out, the workers ran to her to inform her that they had been fired for welcoming her back. Jia said she was going to talk to Dana but bumped into her. She warned Dana to hire the workers back otherwise she would sign to demote her from her post.
Soon, Jia had a press conference to inform the public that Dragon Empire Builders was not for sale and their workers would remain a solid force. Amanda and Gab watched the news and saw that as an opportunity for the missing will to resurface. However, she has also secured a Thailand visa for them to escape should things get messy since her house was put under surveillance.
Dana was getting upset with how Jia was enjoying the spotlight. Lucy said she was not actually taking joy by appearing in the news but was trying to make the sale of the company difficult. Dana could not stand being her subordinate but Lucy advised Dana to concentrate on her job and do it right for the board to know that Adam made a wrong choice by appointing Jia as the CEO and President.
Jia arrived in her office and told her new secretary to inform the workers that her office was opened for any labour concern. At the precinct, the police received a mysterious message and Simon called the line. It went through but Gab failed to receive it. Simon showed the anonymous text to Yalung concerning the missing hard drive being found at Dana’s office.
Jia went to check on the CCTV footage in her quest to find the k!ller of Adam. She saw Dana taking the labour files from her secretary and rushed to Dana’s office to find the missing hard drive there. Dana received a call that the investigators were there. Lucy was already at Dana’s office asking Jia what she was doing there.
The investigators got in and Dana felt that Simon and Jia connived to implicate her. Jia denied being the brain behind the act and made it clear to Lucy that she did not do things and pinned the blame on someone else. Since Dana had nothing to hide, she called to get the CCTV footage for them to find that a stranger barged there and bumped into David.
Dana called David and he came to confirm to have seen the hard drive with the male employee who had a mask on. He could not identify the person so Dana called the HR unit to get the profile of all the male employees and David pointed on Gab as the person. Jia suggested they watched the content on the hard drive but it was corrupted. The police realised the person wanted to mislead the investigation and decided to go to Amanda’s house to arrest Gab.
Dana now believed Gab was behind the crime but Jia doubted, claiming Gab was at the anniversary function. Dana was not surprised that Jia was supporting Gab since both were illegitimate children. Amanda found out from Jenny that Dana and the investigators had identified a certain guy who David bumped into when sending the hard drive to Dana’s office.
Amanda then packed her things and left with her son. They were being stopped by an officer but she said the officer could sue her for leaving. Simon decided to leave Dragon Empire with David but received a call from the officer that Amanda has fled. Lucy and Dana were unhappy to hear that the police had allowed Amanda to escape. She decided to get a private investigator to find Amanda and her son.
Amanda told Gab they should face their problem head on and deny being the culprit instead of fleeing to Thailand. They rushed to the precinct and Gab denied being the person who planted the hard drive at Dana’s office as he was already banned from entering the premise. Amanda made a confession about the person who actually k!lled Adam. Gab was made to wear a mask and David got confused in identifying him. Although he admitted there was resemblance but was not certain.
Lucy cried over Adam’s betrayal. She blamed herself for Adam cheating on her with Kai but for Amanda, she wondered for how long they had been together. She blamed herself for opening the doors of the company to Amanda as that made her to backstab her. She said she worshipped Adam with all her heart but the betrayal was so big for her to bear. She could not understand why Adam would do that to her and believed Adam never l*ved her.
Lucy broke down, and lifted Adam’s portrait claiming his death was caused by the women he betrayed her with and that was Adam’s punishment for what he did against her. Elsewhere, Kai felt sorry for Lucy for suffering a betrayal, the death of her husband and a quest for justice. Jia wondered why she felt sorry for Lucy since she was her rival. Kai admitted that Lucy was the first to have married Adam.
The next day, Lucy was arrested for k!lling her own husband and Dana was stopped by Simon from interfering. Fast forward, the issue was processed to court and Amanda pinned the blame on Lucy, claiming Lucy and Adam fought over a kidnapped child which was stolen and Adam changed his will.
Lucy saw the will and got upset with Adam, demanding him to change the will as Adam refused, Lucy in anguish brandished a g*n. Adam tried stopping her and the trigger pulled. Elsewhere, Bossing read the news article of Lucy being arrested and he made a call to change the arrangement of their hostage.
Another day in court, Amanda said she did not reveal the truth earlier since she did not want to get involved in the issue. Simon took a stand and he narrated how he received a tip off about the murder weapon being found at the office of a certain boss which they could not find in Lucy’s office.
They had another tip off that the weapon was sent to the washroom by Lucy but they could not find it. The weapon, later was found with Manny who had received instructions to dispose it. Lucy went into the boss and told the court her side of the story. On that faithful day, she went to Adam’s office to attend the company’s anniversary with him but found him unconscious while bleeding profusely.
She then tried to seek help but saw a figure running so she deemed it as the k!ller and went for the weapon to follow the person. Kai followed her and they accidentally shot which made them tested positive for the gun residue. Amanda indicated that no one saw her, Lucy was asked about a footage that could suggest there were three people at the crime scene but Lucy indicated that all had gone missing.
