Wendy Shay brands colleagues as thieves for sampling her melodies meant for featuring

Ruff Town Record signee, Wendy Shay has branded colleague musicians as thieves for sampling her songs meant for featuring.

According to the singer, her fellow has released melodies of her song which she intended to feature the said person.

Wendy Shay made this known on a social media post over the weekend to alert other musicians to be vigilant when sharing songs with colleagues for featuring.

In a post on her various social media pages on Saturday, June 3, the artiste said she has been a victim of the “betrayal” on two occasions where her colleagues stole the melodies of songs she sent to them.

“You send a song to a GH Artiste for a feature. Next thing you go hear your melodies in their new song ! 2nd time this is happening to me ..thieves! Ghana Artiste wake up!” she stated.

Rapper Edem supported her claim when he posted under the said write-up, “I know the artiste”.

Wendy Shay announced her presence on the music scene with her debut “Uber Driver” in 2018. She has warmed herself into the hearts of music enthusiasts with a number of popular tunes including “Bedroom Commando”, “Astalavista”, “The Boy is Mine”, “Cut It” and “Survivor”.

Thursday, June 1, marked five years of Wendy Shay’s music journey and she was all praise for the real support she has enjoyed over the period.

“SHAYGANG It’s been 5 years already! I want you to know that every note I sing, every song I write, is a testament to the love and pride I have for you.

“Your unwavering belief in me has fueled my passion and strengthened my resolve to make a difference in the world through my music. It’s time to conquer the World,” she posted on Facebook on Thursday, June 1.

Presently, Wendy Shay is the brand ambassador for Ghana’s Youth Employment Agency (YEA).
