Regional Ministers of the six newly created regions have been touting government’s achievements in their various regions and say President Akufo-Addo must be rewarded with a second term for the accelerated regional developments currently ongoing in their newly created regions.

Addressing the Nation Building Updates in Accra on Tuesday November 24, 2020, the six Regional Ministers from the Western North, Oti, North East, Savannah, Bono East and Ahafo Regions said the Akufo-Addo-led administration has initiated numerous projects in the area of education, roads and railway, agriculture and sanitation that never existed previously and have helped bring about unprecedented levels of development in their regions.

He commended the President for the numerous projects in his region that have helped improved the standard of living.

Citing some achievements, Mr Gyedu said access to medicine and other medical services has been improved since government provided a number of health facilities in the region to address the health concerns of the locals.

“Most Health Centres find it easy to access medicine which has drastically reduced referrals to the hospital. All the Health Centres within Western North Region now solely rely on the Centre to deliver vaccines at the comfort of their Health Centres without having to travel long hours or bad roads to receive vaccines. Most of the people now have easy access to Medical products in rare time.

Zipline service delivery takes 5-45min to transport from the Centre to the facility whereas initially it took hours to get medicine when there is an emergency. Patients with snake bites now have access to anti-snake serum,” he said.
