We will meet you with brutal force if you try to cause mayhem—Kennedy Agyapong to Mahama
Member of Parliament of Assin Central Constituency, Kennedy Agyapong, has warned the former president, John Dramani Mahama not to incite his supporters to cause any mayhem otherwise they will be met with a brutal force.
According to him, the manner the former President was going about his defeat was not appropriate and cannot incite his supporters to cause trouble in the country.
His comment comes after the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Mahama cautioned to resist any attempt to subvert the sovereign will of the people after Monday’s elections.
“We will resist any attempt to subvert the sovereign will of the people,” former President Mahama said.

He explained in a press conference organised on Tuesday that his party had won 10 out of the 16 regions and it had obtained a clear majority of 140 out of the 275 parliamentary seats.
However, reacting to the statement, Mr Agyapong said if Mr Mahama incited violence, “we will meet you with force”.
“Try and see,” he dared the former President.
He said there was no truth in the allegations of the former President and he could not gain majority as he was claiming.
Mr Agyapong also stressed that the government had not used the arm forces to chastise anyone.
