Betrayal (Halik) Episode 48 Jade attempts to abort her baby
“Aliyah I am sorry for what that woman did to you. She is just a crazy ex of mine that doesn’t understand we are over.”
Ace called Vince to blow off some steam, he said Joel told Kendis about the events that led to his first night with Jade.
Ace asked Vince out but he said he was busy so he should sort things out with Jade.
Dos Disenyos workers together with the Bartolomes threw a surprise birthday party for Lino.
“What is this, I never knew you guys planned this surprise for me.”
The audience sang and wished him happy birthday. He blew the candle on the cake and said his wish shall remain a secret.
Jade locked herself in a dark corner and recalled Lino telling her that she would regret the kind of life she would have with Ace. She cried while thinking Ace saying the baby could be for Lino.
Jacky arrived at the party and the celebration went on. Some of the guests asked if Jacky was Lino’s new girlfriend but Fe said she was Lino’s childhood friend. Dolor asked them to stop the gossip.
Meanwhile, Ace drunk his head out and went to Jacky’s apartment searching for her. He demanded that the security opened him the door for him to go inside and wait for Jacky.
The security said Jacky warned him not to open the door for him whenever he comes around.
Jade went to the Bartolomes’ mansion and to her dismay, she saw the celebration. She recalled a previous birthday which she was in the house celebrating with Lino.
Lino spotted someone standing there so he drew a little closer but he felt that his eyes deceived him.
A neighbour scolded Jade for allowing Lino to go. She asked why she was standing there crying seeing Lino happy with a different woman.
The workers forced Bogs to talk to Maggie, claiming it was an opportunity for him to win Maggie over. As he was cracking jokes with Maggie Gio called.
Bogs out of jealousy shouted, telling Maggie that Dolor was calling her. Gio asked whether Bogs was also invited. She said Dos Disenyos workers were invited.
Gio told her to distance herself from Bogs, saying he did not like him. Maggie realised he was jealous, as she saw Bogs eavesdropping she ended the call and drove him away from her.
Paeng scolded Ace for drinking his whisky. Ace engaged in a feud with Paeng so Gio intervened asking Paeng to give Ace a break.
Paeng found it offensive for Gio to jump into Ace’s defense. Helen arrived from her trip to see Paeng fighting his two sons.
She separated them and said she was there to make things right but Ace left. Jade cried and went to clinic for medication to abort the baby.
Jade could not take the medication after thinking about all the mishappenings in her life.
The party was over, Jacky and her friends asked of their leave.
“You are trying to be cute, happy birthday now,” Jacky said bye. Vince took pictures together with Ace and some girls. Jade received some of the pictures.
She got upset that she was wallowing in sorrows while Ace was happy chilling.
Lino told his family that he was happy even with the absence of his estranged wife. He said when his family was happy he is also happy.
Dolor told him to remember that she is always there for him.
Ace said all his nightmares began ever since Jade came into his life.
“That is the Ace I know, you just leave a girl behind when problems start,” Vince told Ace.
Ace received a call from Aliyah, who asked Ace if he wanted to go out. He promised to pick Aliyah up from her place.
He left Vince and the girls. Jade came to the bar but she could not catch up with him.
Ace drove, however Jade called several times but he ignored.
“You’re really asking for it Ace you are going to get it.”
Ace arrived at Aliyah’s place as he was About to leave with her Jade arrived.
“Pull the car over so that he doesn’t see.”
She came out of the car.
“Ace is that her? He is the father of my baby.” Jade attacked Aliyah, she pulled her hair as Ace tries to separate the fight. Aliyah after called her guard to lock her gate.
“Jade what the heck is your problem?”
“This is my problem right here after getting me pregnant you run after another woman. How dare you?”
“Jade isn’t it obvious that I don’t want that child.”
“How dare you? Take back what you said, take back what you said.”
“Now if you really want to keep that baby, that is your decision, I won’t take responsibility for it.”
Ace added that Jade was acting paranoid because Aliyah was his client. Ace left Jade while she fainted Infront of a coming vehicle.
“Aliyah I am sorry for what that woman did to you. She isjust a crazy ex of mine that doesn’t understand we are over.”
“Will you please call or text me, I can explain everything,” Ace recorded a voice message to Aliyah after he could not reach her.
Jade woke up to find herself confined in a clinic, the doctor said she fainted on the road.
Lino wondered why Maggie had been laughing all those while. Maggie told Lino that he and Jacky were meant for each other.
“Lino do you believe that first love never dies because me I want to believe that my first love will be my last.”
Helen saw the pictures of Maggie on Gio’s laptop and realised Maggie was the kid sister of Lino.
Lino advised Maggie to allow her suitors become a poet, she should accept all the gifts and letters.
“You should choose someone who will really value you and cherish you. Someone who will be proud of you but before all of that you should love yourself first.”
Bogs told Puncho and the other worker that his time with Maggie was interrupted by Gio, her former boss.
Helen warned Gio to stop seeing Maggie and fed his head with lies that Lino who is the brother of Maggie almost killed Ace and seduced his brother’s wife, Jacky.
Lino texted Jacky to thank her for gracing his party.
Marissa came to the clinic to check on Jade. She promised to send her to gynaecologist once she is discharged.
Jade told Marissa that Ace denied his responsibility towards the child. Marissa comforted her. She asked her to be strong not only for herself but for her baby.
