Customers of GCB have trooped at Kantamanto to withdraw their money after fire guts the bank

Customers who save at the the Ghana Commercial Bank (GCB) branch at Kantamanto have trooped to the bank demanding for their money after fire gutted the building this morning in Accra.

The customers stated that they were told by people about the incident while some also claimed they saw it live on Facebook, thus rushed there to verify the incident.

Although the bank is still set ablaze with the Ghana fire service personnel at the scene controlling the fire.

No damage has since been reported, however, witnesses believed the fire was caused by a faulty electrical appliances in the bank although the fire service personnel have not yet explained the actual cause of the fire.

They said they only saw smoke from the pent building and got to the scene to help in controlling the fire.

Currently, the fire service personnel are beefing up actions to quench the fire in preventing incident of damages to the building and the machines of the bank.

Many witnesses at the event took video and streamed it on social media page which has caused panic among customers of the bank and have rushed there for panic withdrawal.

Spot On News gathered that after the streamlined video via Facebook, Instagran and YouTube many people who invest at the branch have surrounded the building demanding for their money.
