After the award which was held last weekend in Accra, social media users humiliated the stars for receiving a fraudulent awards without a background research.

According to a man who blew the whistle the UN Kofi Annan gold awards was allegedly organised by a known fraudster, Dr Fordjour.

A twitter user who carried out an “exposé” about the awards and Dr Fodjuor revealed that the award is a sham and was carried out without the knowledge of the UN executives.

He said the award was not affiliated to Kofi Annan and the UN, thus urged the award recipients to do something about it as the honour was a sham.

Dr Fordjour, according to an earlier publication in the Ghanaian Times was arrested about 10 years ago for running a scam on rural banks following a similar award format.
