He said the award was not affiliated to Kofi Annan and the UN, thus urged the award recipients to do something about it as the honour was a sham.
Dr Fordjour, according to an earlier publication in the Ghanaian Times was arrested about 10 years ago for running a scam on rural banks following a similar award format.

He was arrested back then and has apparently resurfaced with a different format.

The rush for awards, is believed by many the reason the celebs failed to carry out research to know the authenticity of the awards.
In a recent post on his Twitter handle, Sarkodie stated that he just received call from Shatta Wale who explained to him about what has become of Dr Fordjour.
“Shatta Wale on the phone explaining what actually happened with Mr UN,” he said.
Berla Mundi who stood on Psalm 121 to express her gratitude to God and the organisers of the awards after the brouhaha deleted the pictures and posts that connect her with the alleged fake awards.
