Sarkodie reports about broken furniture as a result of the Earth Tremor

Multi-award winning rapper, Sarkodie has revealed that he is one of those who were hit terribly by the earth tremor that occurred yesternight in some parts of Accra, Eastern and Central regions.

According to him, his living room furniture is broken as a result of the sudden Earth Tremor.

The rapper who revealed this on his Twitter handle said he was doing well but had broken furniture in his home.

A magnitude earth tremor shook Ghana on Wednesday evening around 10:40 p.m.

The shallow earth tremor was so powerful that people felt it as far away as Kasoa, Amasaman, Tema, Adenta, Dansoman, James Town.

Over 10,000 people reported feeling the tremor just minutes after it was recorded.

Many claim the shake was felt three times within a short time.

According to reports, the last most dangerous earth tremor in Ghana occurred in June 1936, around 7:30pm and lasted between 20-30 seconds, killing 17 people and over 135 injured.

Before that, in 1862, every major stone building in the Gold Coast was razed down by Earthquake.
