Lordina Mahama entreats Ghanaians to disregard the refunding of her allowance statement
Former First Lady, Lordina Mahama has described as fake report suggesting that she has refunded all allowances paid her during the tenure of John Dramani Mahama as Vice President and President of the country.
She therefore called on the public to disregard such statement, claiming it was false and was done with malicious intent.

The statement alleged that Mrs Mahama has supported Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, the First Lady to set such precedent by paying back to the state the money she was given since 2007 to 2021.
This development comes on the back of a move by First Lady, Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo who through a statement declared intentions to refund all allowances paid her from 2017 to date following the backlash from Ghanaians after the Emoluments Committee agreed for her to be paid formally.
The Second Lady, Samira Bawumia also issued a statement moments thereafter stating that she has refunded all allowances paid her into the national coffers and would not go ahead to accept the proposed salary and allowance by the Emoluments Committee.
Thereafter, some Ghanaians began to call on Lordina Mahama to also do the needful by toeing the line of the presidential spouses and refund all allowances paid her.
But reacting to the report circulating on social media that she has refunded allowances paid to her, the former first lady said Ghanaians should consider the statement as fake since she has not refunded any money back to the state.
