Silence NDC for 20 years and let them learn governance—Kennedy Agyapong to Ghanaians

Member of Parliament (MP) of Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong has called on the citizenry to punish the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for 20 years in order for them to learn governance.

According to him, the NDC party mismanaged the economy, hence increased plight and suffering of the people for eight years.

Speaking on Net2 TV in Accra yesterday, Mr Agyapong noted that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) within the three and half years of taking over from the worse economy intelligently transformed the economy into better.

He said the party with its potent flagbearer, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has been able to reduce the inflation from 15.5per cent to 7.4per cent and has put in place other good policies to revitalise the economy.

“This government has been able to change the inflation they inherited from the erstwhile administration which is from 15.5per cent to 7.4per cent,” Mr Agyapong added.

He observed that the stable of the inflation has helped entrepreneurs and people to plan ahead in sustaining their business, adding that “you can not plan during the previous administration because the inflation figures kept shooting up.”

Citing some policies that helped in boosting the economy, Mr Agyapong said the One District One factory and One village One dam have helped youth and  individuals to gain employment, electricity and portable water.

He stated that the free Senior High School (SHS) policy, one school one hot meal and the distribution of free uniforms , books among others have all reduced the plight of Ghanaians as parents could invest the money in other sector to sustain their livelihoods.

Mr Agyapong expressed the need for Ghanaians to applaud the current government for all the good policies and social interventions that have reduced sufferings and burden imposed on the citizenry by the erstwhile Mahama administration.

For continuous development of the country, he urged Ghanaians to vote for the NPP for them to continue solving all the economic problems to set a learning experience for the NDC party.

That, Mr Agyapong indicated would help the opposition party executives to put things in order among themselves and learn how to run an economy before giving the opportunity to gain the presidential seat.

To him, the NDC party has least idea on governance and should be voted against for 20 years for them to learn good governance.

“NDC could not develop the economy when given eight years in office. The electricity crisis, the hikes in petroleum prices and goods. Education was least of their priorities. They even denied Ghanaian child common chalk but this government has put the economy on its toes with youth employment, free SHS among others. Ghanaians should vote against them for 20 years for them to learn how to govern,” Mr Agyapong added.

He further indicated that planting for food and jobs policy is laudable as it has helped in abundance of food production,  affordable foods and created jobs for the people in the country.
