Staff were surprised to see me at work after i lost my Parliamentary seat— Dr Oko-Boye

The Deputy Minister of Health, Dr Benard Oko-Boye has promised to continue his good services to the country even when he has been voted out as a Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ledzokuku Constituency.

According to him, he does not need to hold any position before helping others in life.

In a Facebook post, Dr Oko-Boye said “Some staff were happy to see me doing fine, some surprised at my activity having assumed that not winning the Parliamentary election meant away with community service.”

He noted that one does not have to gain a position before he could render a service to humanity and promised to do his best to help the people and the country even with no position.

“It is important to understand that the joy a true Leader experiences does not lie in the position he holds but in the Service his people receive,” Dr Oko-Boye said.

He thanked God for the love he endowed his heart with to assist others freely without holding government position before doing it.

First post election Monday consultations at the Lekma Hospital. Some staff were happy to see me doing fine, some surprised at my activity having assumed that not winning the Parliamentary election meant away with community service.

It is important to understand that the joy a true Leader experiences does not lie in the position he holds but in the Service his people receive.

I thank God that you do not have to necessarily hold a position to assist others experience a better world.
