Osofo Dadzie takes a long sleep from the industry—Mr Beautiful confirmed
Veteran actor and producer, Frimpong Manso, popularly known as Osofo Dadzie has passed away today at the age of 89.
The demise of the actor was confirmed in a media interview by popular comic actor Clement Bonney known in the industry as Mr Beautiful.
Mr Beautiful revealed that Osofo Dadzie was battling an ailment of a sort due to old age, thus paid a visit to the deceased last month (July) together with his colleague actor, Kohwe.
He said Osofo Dadzie was weak the day they set eyes on him but expressed regret for his demise.
Mr Beautiful stated that the industry has lost a great person who could direct and educate young actors and dramatists.
Remembering the legendary actor, he said would remember the actor for his advice to them.
“He advised us to desist from insults and focus on educating the youth in the movies in which we stare in,” Mr Beautiful said.
The funeral arrangements, he said would soon be announced to the public one’s the family of the deceased sit and see the way forward.
Frimpong Manso earned the name Osofo Dadzie after starring in a television series acted by Osofo Dadzie Drama group, a concert group.
Osofo Dadzie was the title of a television drama series which was very popular in Ghana in the 1970s and early 1980s.
It was by the Osofo Dadzie group, a drama and concert group that were very popular at the time the series run on television especially on Ghana Television (GTV).
