‘You’ve made Ghana proud’—Kojo Oppong Nkrumah pens down a congratulatory message to Shatta Wale
The Minister of Information, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah has joined musicians and Ghanaians who have congratulated the multi award winning dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale for setting Ghana’s name on the map.
Among these musicians were Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Obrafour, Kwaw Kese, Sister Derby, Medikal among others.
According to Mr Nkrumah, Shatta Wale had contributed a lot in the development of the country’s music industry and deserved all the accolades.
In a congratulatory message on his Twitter handle on Saturday, the minister stated that Ghana was proud of the artiste and urged him to continue promoting the craft of Ghana on the international ground.
“Congratulations @shattawalegh. You’ve made Ghana proud,” he said.
This congratulatory message followed the release of the video of “Already,” a song sang by American Rhythm and Blues (R&B) goddess, Beyoncé Knowles which featured Shatta Wale and Major Lazer.
The sound track forms part of the “Lion King: The Gift” album which was released last year as a soundtrack for 2019’s remake of “The Lion King,” an animated film.
It was premiered yesterday on Disney+ to tell the story about the rich African culture and the story of Nala.
