‘You’ll be horrified to know what I use weed for’— Blakk Rasta on weed legalisation
Reggae artiste, Abubakar Ahmed known in showbiz circles as Blakk Rasta has condemned those who are against the legalisation of marijuana and referred to them as lost.
According to him, those who are against the legalisation of cannabis commonly called weed did not know the health benefits and urged them to read wide.
Speaking in an interview with Okay FM as monitored by SpotOnNews, the controversial musician who doubles as radio personality said many Ghanaians have negative mindset about weed, this, he said had blind folded them not to see the health benefits of weed.
Despite being an advocate for the legalisation of weed, Blakk Rasta, claimed that he has never tasted the drug before but use the herbs for special things.
“It’s true that I have never smoked weed. Weed isn’t just for smoking. The enthusiasm stems from the fact that so many people are unaware of the importance of weed.
“As a result, when they hear about it, they declare that the insane has arrived. Weed, isn’t about going insane or smoking cigarettes. You’ll be horrified if I tell you what I use weed for,” he added.
Blakk Rasta had claimed in 2015 during his show on radio that about 80 per cent of Parliamentarians in Ghana smoke marijuana, a statement which was heavily condemned by members of parliament after it was reported to the House’s Privileges Committee.
