Accident rocks Asaase Radio Sound Clash after Ras Kuuku rushed to hospital

A musical night that seeks to entertain fans and light up the industry was marred after winner of the Reggae/Dancehall artiste of the year at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), Ras Kuuku was allegedly rushed to hospital.

According to report, the trending artiste suddenly fell offstage during a performance at the Asaase Radio Sound Clash in Accra yesterday when he met one on one on stage with his opponent Kamelyeon.

Revealing the unfortunate news to the media, Manager of the artiste Michael Asambo explained that Ras Kuuku was  rushed to hospital for treatment after he broke down suddenly while performing.

He indicated that the fall was massive to an extent that he broke his arm in the process, stressing that his joint and bones dislocated making his case a bit complicated.

Mr Asambo said the artiste was not doing well and requested a prayer on his behalf.

The reason for the fall is not yet known but the manager promised to get the fans updated.

Early this week, the artiste revealed on  his Twitter that the award won at the VGMA was stolen.

This saddened his fans for losing a hard earned award from a category which over the years had been difficult for any other artist to win.

After Winning the award as a reggae dancehall artiste of the year, the Puom musician indicated that it was a good decision for the award organisers to have given him the converted plaque to maintain peace and order in the industry.

He noted that although dancehall music has an influence on youth due to some of its aggressive vibes, adding that “it does not entail violence,” hence singers who sing such songs should not include violent act.

Ras Kuuku maintained that being the recipient of the Award would instill discipline in the industry as he was a symbol of hope for the Reggae-dancehall music.

Meanwhile, he is now suffering a different fate after emerged the winner of the award.
