All Of Me Episode 1 Manuel loses his loved ones and life over a transformation on a fairy Island

Manuel Figueras, a 50-year old man raced to save his life from his pursuer, unfortunately the hired k!ller shot him, leading him to fall off a cliff. As he evaded death, he inadvertently stumbled upon a magical portal which led to a pond that transformed him. After suffering the fatal gunshot wound, Manuel found himself in a mystical Island where he was turned back into his younger self.

Despite Manuel’s pleas, the fairy refused to grant him his exit from the Island, forcing him to relay his life story in an attempt to earn his freedom.

In 1965, Manuel was a bright lad whose life was hooked around a health centre where his mother, Rosita Figueras was a cleaner or a maintenance. He cheered patients of the hospital up, sending them flowers and engaging them in a conversation to facilitate their healing process.

His good courage, intelligence and his hard work as a lad made him win the heart of Dr Vincente Avila who taught him how medicine and the profession of a doctor worked with hopes of him becoming a professional doctor one day when he grew up.

Manuel promised Rosita that once he becomes a doctor in the near future she would quit her job as a cleaner. This called for a hug and he gave his mother the snacks that he brought on his way to the hospital.

One day, Dr Vincente bid a tearful goodbye to Manuel since he was leaving to a different place to continue his profession. He presented to him a necklace and promised to cater for his university education. All that Manuel had to do was to learn hard and gain the requisite grades.

Rosita, who was eavesdropping thanked Dr Vincente for everything he was doing for her son. Soon, Manuel gained a medal in school as the best student in class and raced to show it to his mother.

Rosita, seeing her son was in a hurry and she hit her back against some poles which was weak and a debris hit her head. She collapsed as blood oozed from her forehead. Manuel ran and crossed the road to his mother’s rescue. Rosita was rushed to the hospital by a food vendor. Due to financial issue, the nurse failed to attend to Rosita.

Manuel cried and begged the nurse to help his mother and he would work to pay but the nurse was adamant. A doctor appeared, fortunately the doctor knew Manuel. He sacrificed to help his mother and operated on her. Due to the delay, Manuel’s mother suffered internal bleeding and died.

Manuel moved to a different place. He found a letter and money which Rosita has saved for him in a box. He read his mother’s letter and cried. In 1974, he graduated and in 1978, he also graduated from high school and gained university entrance to a school which was fully funded to him by Dr Vincente. He discovered that the doctor died few years ago but secured his back before kicking the bucket.

Soon, he graduated as a best student and became a renowned qualified doctor. He set up a foundation to chronicle the good deeds of Dr Vincente who was his mentor and made him who he was. In the 1990s, he was a full grown up man and fell in l*ve with Dianna, a lady who was sick and was near to her death.

Dianna kept her sickness as secret in order not to see Manuel shedding tears over her. Manuel lived in an Island with her till one day when the sickness raised its head for her to be admitted. After discovering the sickness of his beloved, Manuel was sad that the lady kept the sickness a secret.

Dianna was discharged. Laying her head on Manuel’s chest at the Island, she made a last wish, asking Manuel to find someone who would l*ve him, a person who was matured and would make him feel happy. She then died. Manuel was affected by her death. He cried bitterly and after her funeral, he told Henry that earlier he had thought money was the reason for the death of his parents but he has realised it wasn’t so.

He wondered why he could save people but not those he l*ved. He told Henry Nieves, his protégé how he embraced the profession since he wanted to be like Dr Vincente but he has lost all the important people in his life. He told Henry to operate the clinic while he took a leave to stay on the Island to mend his broken heart.

During his stay, one night, he came across Lena Dimaculangan, a fish monger who was sailing and her boat capsized as it was hit by a heavy storm. She ran to Manuel for help since her cell phone was not working and needed a phone to call her mother, a fish vendor to tell her where she was but Manuel said he did not have a phone.

She asked Manuel to provide a shelter for her since she could no longer go to the nearest town to pay off her debts. She blamed herself for not listening to her mother. As Manuel was not minding her, she thought he was deaf and began using sign languages which Manuel found it as insulting.

Manuel provided a place for her to sleep. She found Manuel as grumpy when he took his bed from her and layed a mat for her on the floor to sleep. His cold attitude made Lena left in the morning after she prepared food for him. She went outside to discover that her boat was missing. Lena was ready to pay Manuel if he could make a boat for her to leave the Island.

Manuel told her to stay with him for three days, since Mr Betong would come there on Thursday to deliver food stuffs to him so that she could leave with him on his boat. The two began to understand eachother better, played together and bonded.
