Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 22 Bettina is arrested for k¡ll¡ñg Edward, Ling is transferred to work at a warehouse
At the mansion of the Tius, Bingo accepted to testify in court for Bettina. Wilson was happy and thanked him. He and Ling went to sit outside and were eating when Grams called to check up on him and to confirm if he had delivered the food to Ling.
During the video call, Nene realised Bingo was at Ling’s house and would even testify for her half sister. Later, Ling was asked about the credibility of Bingo because they did not want the Liaos to have something bad to say against their witness.
Ling assured that Bingo was credible. Actually, she saved her during her kidnapping, he was well known in Binondo and was business minded but not greedy.
Cindy asked about Bingo’s mother but Ling had no idea about that. Bingo on the other hand was home with his family as he gisted them about what he would do for the Tius. Nene couldn’t shake off the fact that the Tius were always in trouble but wanted her grandson to be careful.
Elsewhere, Gina met up with the police in her car. The findings from the autopsy had revealed that Edward diéd from cyanide poisoning. Gina urged him to cover the findings and put Bettina behind bars for the murder of Edward.
She also instructed him to apprehend Bettina on Friday so that she would not be able to post bail. Irene went to see Cathy plead with her. She knelt and pleaded but Cathy still was not ready to accept her.
Gina came to inform Wilson and the family about the DNA update the police had gotten which could get Bettina behind bars. The family became so worried.
At the Shei Wei Tian Restaurant, Ling talked to Cathy and begged her to accept Irene back. She didn’t want her to add to her family problems as the family was going through a lot at the moment.
By the nature of Irene, she did not beg talking of kneeling. Ling pleaded with Cathy. The GLC board had a meeting and it was suggested that Bettina should surrender but Wilson and Cindy didn’t want their daughter to set foot in that jail.
It became heated argument as the board believed the issue of Bettina would ruin GLC. Wilson wanted Bettina to be flown to the state immediately but the board disagreed. They deemed it better if she surrendered before the police even set foot there.
Bettina made a bold decision to surrender but her family was against it. As they were arguing, the police arrived. Elsewhere, Bingo led Nene to the restaurant in order to meet Ling to fetch her for dinner but to their dismay, they saw Irene.
Irene claimed Ling was transferred but didn’t care to know where she would be transferred to. Nene found Irene’s act so rude. Ling arrived to find the police and rushed home to alert her family about the presence of the police.
Marietta led the police in and they arrested Bettina. Ling in an attempt to defend Bettina told Marietta that her family turned blind eye to everything the Liaos did to her family and even revealed that Edward was the one who had the Kishama app hacked.
This made Cindy scold Ling for being a blurbby mouth. She believed Ling’s words would rather make the Liaos believe Bettina indeed had a motive to k¡ll their son. Wilson stopped them because what had happened had happened.
Cindy threatened Ling. This got Ling so sad and drove off. She went straight to Binondo. Bingo and Nene were coming home and were trying her number but the line was busy. Ling was talking to Charleston to ask about development.
Charleston urged her not to get worried because they were taking care of things. He told Ling not to worry and forget about what his mother told her. Bingo and Nene bumped into her. They sent her home for dinner but Ling even brought them food as well.
They ate the meal Nene cooked and after everything, Ling told Bingo about how Cindy confronted her when Marietta came to their mansion to disgrace them and got Bettina arrested.
Bingo consoled her. The following day, Bingo was called to the mansion of the Tius and he met Cindy who was on her way to give Bettina food at the police station.
Elsewhere, Ling was transferred to work at the warehouse of Cathy. She was being told about her job at the place when she received a call from Bingo. Bingo told her that she was already at the mansion but Cindy was out to see Bettina to give her breakfast.
Ling told him to take care of himself. The Nene came to usher Bingo in as Wilson and the lawyer were waiting for him.
