Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 21 The Liaos file a murder case against Bettina, Irene is thrown out from Shei Wei Tian Restaurant
When Ling returned to the restaurant, Cathy asked about Bettina and Ling said she was not doing fine even though she was home. Cathy did not understand why the Tius family couldn’t shake off bad luck.
She told her that she had a pretty face and should be able to protect her credibility so that she could be the image of the family should everyone mess up.
Wilson queried Charleston to find out if he was the reason Edward passed away as Ling had told him that he was furious that day.
Charleston made it clear that he was not the one who did that to Edward. Bingo went to search for Ling at the restaurant and was told she was overworking herself.
Gina updated Wilson and Cindy about the case and told them that the police had gathered evidence. They found a nail and were going to run a DNA test on that. Wilson and Cindy were scared.
Gina went further to claim that Marietta had a witness who saw Bettina with Edward. Wilson said he would fight with Marietta to the core because he also has something against them.
Bettina saw them and was scared that she would be sent to jail. Her mother later talked to her to forget about it as they would prove her innocence.
Meanwhile, Irene returned to Shi Wei Tian Restaurant to continue her training but Cathy didn’t entertain her. She followed Cathy, begging for her to receive her again.
Bingo called out Ling at the restaurant. Ling closed the place and changed up to eat the food Bingo brought for her. Nene prepared it for Ling. Bingo forced Ling to eat it as Nene would be upset to see him returning with the food.
Bettina recalled her last encounter with Edward before his demise and cried. She was scared that she would be jailed. Bingo saw how worried Ling was and told her that he saw Bettina at a bar closer to the church. And she has nothing to do with the déåth of Edward.
Irene was sacked from Cathy’s place. She made a scene where she was entering to go for her bags but was threatened by the receptionist that she would call police on him as per the orders of Cathy. She finally left with her guards.
Ling came early in the morning to open the restaurant, much to the chagrin of her co-workers. She was the last person to leave and first to come to work. They believed she was working to nurse her broken heart.
As Bettina was escorted by the police for interrogation at the police station, Wilson called Marietta and her husband Albert took the phone to talk to him. He made it clear that he called the police on Bettina as his wife informed him that he threatened her.
Stephen rushed to Ling at the restaurant as there was an emergency. Ling was seeking permission from Aunt Cathy, when Bingo also arrived there with food from Nene. He saw her leaving with Stephen and decided to leave.
Wilson wanted Albert to rethink his decision because he was sure that Bettina did not commit such a horrible crime. Since Albert was not ready to retract his statement, Wilson warned him that his act would stir up issues which would implicate Edward for his crimes.
Elsewhere, Snoop bumped into Irene. Irene ran after him and he claimed he had a date. Irene learnt that he was the one who saved her when she fell off the edge of the tall uncompleted building .
She promised to help him win over his date. As they were arguing, Dara was spotted. She had returned from her vacation and approached Snoop. Irene wondered why Snoop would date a lady like Dara and it turned a fight among them.
At the Precinct, the inspector informed Bettina that there were scratches on Edward’s body and also a nail was found. Therefore, they would perform a DNA test on Bettina and if her DNA matched it, she would be in trouble.
She was told to start talking but she rather requested for her lawyer. As Ling was in the car with Stephen, the latter told Ling that Albert had filed a case against Bettina and she was being questioned for the death of Edward.
Ling recalled what Bingo told her and ordered Stephen that they should go to Binondo. They went and saw Bingo. They sent him to the house of Wilson and he was made an eye witness to testify in favour of Bettina should the Liaos carry on with the case.
