Can’t Buy Me Love Episode 23 Carlo reveals Edward’s autopsy report to the Tius, Bettina is set free
While Irene was busy working at the restaurant, Bettina hugged Cindy at the precinct. Cindy presented food and toiletries to her and told her that Ling’s friend, Bingo was ready to testify.
Charleston and Carlo chained Jaime at a secluded place and they blind folded him. Charleston ordered him to take the fall for Edward’s déåth but since Jaime refused, he left him in the care of Carlo to bëåt him.
Bingo while being trained for the hearing couldn’t focus because he was thinking about Ling’s incomplete statement when she was talking to him over the phone and her battery d¡éd.
He was asked questions and the Attorney told him to concentrate because if he did not answer with clarity, the court wouldn’t find him convincing. He then concentrated and answered where he saw Bettina and the time.
After he was able to convince the Attorney that Bettina was not present when Edward d¡éd, Wilson saw him out. At the warehouse, Ling saw how the workers were keeping some of the things.
She was told that it was part of their benefits as workers. They were given half price, 10 percent employee discount and the money would be deducted from their salaries. Ling did not like what they were doing.
She followed Kita for taking the rubber shoes. She wanted her to return it because it was from Ling’s own department but the worker had it sorted, coded and it was being checked out and told Ling to go to the HR, if she had a problem.
As she was coming out, she saw Bingo and wondered what he was doing there. Bingo came there because he wanted to find out what she wanted to say. Ling explained that she wanted to say that he should update her after speaking with her father and the Attorney.
Ling told him about her foul mood so Bingo sent her to the carnival for them to go biking but Ling didn’t like her experience since it was her first time and got scared.
Meanwhile, Cindy did a background check on Bingo to discover that his mother was Annie Mariano. She began questioning his credibility. Her husband didn’t like that she was suddenly questioning their witness credibility.
The attorney said Bingo was decent and there was nothing wrong. Cindy became quiet as she couldn’t tell them about her worry but only said she did not want the Liaos to find anything bad about Bingo to make Bettina remain in prison.
After beating Jaime, Carlo came home to wash his hands and found the autopsy report that stated that Edward d¡éd from cyanide poisoning in the trash can. His mother crumpled and threw it in the dustbin when the police gave her the report.
Cindy secretly revealed to Gina that Bingo was Anna Marie’s son. Carlo took pictures of the autopsy report and sent it to Charleston. Charleston showed it to his father.
The family had a meeting and Wilson believed someone wanted to sabotage them and put Bettina behind bars. He had no one in mind other than the Liaos.
Gina acted innocent and even claimed the glory that it was her able team that had chalked that success. He also said Bingo’s statements in addition made it a strong case. Bettina was released and the family celebrated with a traditional prayer.
Wilson thanked Bingo and left him in the care of Ling. Ling gave him an envelope but he refused to take it. Cindy spotted them and that incident reminded her of the time she gave Annie money for a job she did but she refused it. But, a further talk made her accept the money.
However, Bingo didn’t accept it. Ling wanted him to accept even half of it but Bingo proposed that they should go to the carnival. They went and this time around Ling enjoyed it and even requested more of the biking.
At the restaurant, Dara brought her friends to come and worry Irene to make her pay for her earlier f¡ght with Dara over Snoop. Irene also prepared a meal, spit into it and added an overdose of some ingredients in an attempt to punish them.
Meanwhile, Gina discovered from Carlo that he was the one who sent the autopsy report to Charleston. This got his mother upset because she was doing everything for him to be the heir. She reminded him that Cindy and her children wouldn’t give a crap if he was the one in Bettina’s situation.
Carlo pounced on his mother and reminded her that Bettina was his sibling and wanted to help her. He wanted to be the heir because he deserved it not what his mother was doing. His mother stated that he was hurting her.
Bingo bought street food. It was a poultry meal a dead chick in an egg shell with a sauce. It was something Ling had not eaten before so Bingo made her try it.
