Ghana’s creative art industry is not getting the needed support because musicians and other stakeholders are not creative—Shatta Wale jabs Creative art stakeholders

Controversial Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has decried the manner creative arts stakeholders, especially musicians were not being creative to make the industry excel.

According to him, the acts of some musicians have shifted the interest of government away from supporting the industry to grow.

In a live streaming on his Facebook channel yesterday, the self acclaimed Dancehall king bemoaned that the nation was in crisis and the least artists could do is to be creative and do the necessary things to support the government in the fight against COVID-19.

That, he noted would send a good signal to the government for him to rethink about the country’s creative art industry, stressing that this would make him support in building it to meet the global market.

Shatta Wale observed that musicians were always seeking the help of government in building the industry, yet they fail to do their quota to help the country when the need arise.

He expressed displeasure in the manner that his beef partner, Sarkodie woke up to diss him in a new track which was released two days ago.

Shatta Wale regretted that upon all the achievement of Sarkodie he has not raised any funds and items to help government and the less privileged in the society.

He stated that the current pandemic was a wake up call for his fellow artistes to be creative and supportive to help in the development of the country.

“Government is donating, he has set aside a special fund to help the needy, he has cancelled some utilities all to help the nation and you cannot do your quota to help the society? You are thinking about beef in such crisis, please think,” Shatta Wale bemoaned.

He called on the citizenry especially the affluents to support the government to help fight COVID-19 to save lives, adding that “I will do everything to support my fans.”
