EMAG is proudly sponsored by Fruitos, and is brought to you in partnership with Spot On News, Urstruly Praiz, Travex Media Concept, Shine, Xbrit World Tours among others.

Speaking exclusively to spotonnews.net, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Power House Entertainment, Mr Raymond Kombat explained that the maiden awards would recognise the achievements, experience and innovation in filmmaking.

He observed that most awards in the country did not recognise the effort of production managers and assistants and intended to award the efforts of the production crew and technicians who make movie shooting a success.

Mr Kombat said the award categories would also appreciate the efforts of actors, actresses, directors, script writers and other influential personalities.

Awarding these young achievers, he said would help propel them to strive for excellence in filmmaking.

Mr Kombat indicated that the country had reached an era that much of its effort should be geared towards raising entrepreneurs who had creative ideas to break boundaries in helping the developmental agenda of the country.

Thus, he mentioned would boost morale of youth to venture into the industry to make money for themselves, adding that “It will create an opportunity for filmmakers to put spotlight on their film.”

Mr Kombat urged all young filmmakers and Ghanaians to attend the event and keep voting for their favourites to go home with the awards.

About 40 young movie personalities including Too Much, Akuapem Poloo among others were nominated for this year’s edition.

The night promises to be big and better with ticket going out for Ghc50.
