Eugene Arhin expresses willingness to pay GH¢2m to divorce his wife
Director of Communication at the Presidency, Eugene Arhin, has finally spoken on report that says his wife, Mrs Gloria Arhin is calling for a divorce and demanding GH¢2 million for settlement.
According to him he is still not served with any summon and expressed his readiness to sign the divorce papers when the need arises.

“I have still not been served with these court processes, and, upon receipt, my lawyers will respond accordingly,”he said.
Eugene Arhin noted that “every marriage has challenges, and such challenges should not be addressed in the court of public opinion.”
He stated that for the sake of his children and respect for his wife he would not make the issue a trend of the day but would use the right channels to address the issue.

“I will not, for the sake of my children, and for the dignity of my wife, engage in any public banter,” Mr Arhin added.
He regretted that so many allegations have been levelled against him and stated that he had not abused his wife.
“In as much as many of the claims leveled against me are baseless and untrue, especially with respect to properties and physical abuse, I will hold my peace and deal with them in the Court of Law,” Mr Arhin bemoaned.
Mrs Gloria Arhin Earlier accused Mr Arhin of physical abusing her, infidelity and other conduct which she claimed to have destroyed their union beyond repair.
In her suit filed at the Matrimonial Division of The High Court in Accra, Mrs Arhin is praying the court to grant her a divorce due to misbehaviour of Mr Eugene after his appointment as the director of communications.
She also claimed that Mr Arhin has a child with another woman due to his constant infidel behaviour.
Aside the 10 reasons she stood on for court to grant the divorce she also demanded GH¢2million in settlement.

1. Misbehaviour towards the family
Gloria stated that shortly after Eugene’s appointment as the director of communications, he started acting in an unusual way towards her and her children
2. Extramarital affairs with multiple women after requesting for divorce.
According to the writ, Eugene has committed and keeps committing adultery.
The petitioner, Gloria said the respondent, Eugene has other women in his life with whom he has extramarital affairs including one Chantel Kudjawu and Getrude Gbajo among others.
3. Unresolved Issues
Gloria in her writ again stated that the marriage has broken down beyond reconciliation and all attempts by both families aimed at resolving the challenges in their marriage have proven futile.
4. Physical abuse
Gloria Arhin further stated that her husband has been abusing her both physically and verbally at the slightest opportunity for over a year now.
She said he has repeatedly been comparing her with the other ladies in his life whenever there is a dispute or misunderstanding between them.
Mrs Arhin added that he even goes to the extent of abusing her in front of their children.
5. Child with another woman
Gloria said Eugene has a child with another woman less than two years after forcing her to undergo tubal ligation, a procedure that makes a woman sterile.
6. Unreasonable behaviour
Gloria indicated that Eugene has up to date moved out of their matrimonial home and she does not know his whereabouts either.
She added that he has warned her not to touch anything that belongs to him in the house and not step foot on any of the properties they acquired together while married.
Meanwhile, a number of properties owned by Mr Arhin have been made public.
This follows a divorce suit filed by the wife of Mr Arhin, Gloria Assan Arhin, who claimed the behaviour of the president’s special communicator has brought their union to its knees.
