A training centre for Pentecostal and Charismatic movements dubbed: “Ultimate Ministerial Academy” (UMA) was on Saturday inaugurated in Accra.
It aimed at enrolling individuals who are called by God to lead his ministry.
The institution runs four programmes namely school of prophets, school of minstrels (Music), school of leadership and school of Christian ministry.
It would offer certificate after six months or two years.
Insigursting the academy, the head pastor of Ultimate Charismatic Centre and the President of the academy, Prophet Dr Akwasi Agyemang Prempeh explained that the aim of the institution was to produce Christian leaders who have both theoretical understanding and operational skills required to undertake a senior position within a church, or the corporate world.
He said the curriculum was well structured to promote Bible-based theological reasoning and provide training that was based on the specific calling of individuals as well as polishing the skills of those who preach, teach, evangelise, prophesy and heal.

Prophet Agyemang Prempeh noted that some current prophets were not using the right platforms and means to prophesy, hence the institution to train prophets on means to prophesy while educating their minds for effective ministry.
“It is our hope that the school of prophets will release, renew, and revive a sound prophetic lifestyle, devoid of controversy and confusion” he added.
The Rector of the school, Reverend Dr John B. Ghartey, explained that the institution was committed to changing the prevalent mentality that seemed to suggest a dichotomy between the anointing and the academia.
According to him, the UMA Programmes were run from six months to two years depending on the field of study.
“The school of prophets is six months certificate programme while the school of minstrels and leadership are a year programmes that is offered in three terms of 12 weeks each. The Christian ministry certificate programme is one year for students who have already studied theology but two years for students who are new in the field,” Rev Ghartey added.
Highlighting on the school of Minstrels, he explained that students would receive a strong biblical foundation for the role of music in worship and professionally guide students in music ministration.
Rev Ghartey indicated that the institution had modern facilities to meet the current technological trends, hence students could be trained online and face-to-face.
The school fees, he said has been subsidised by the Ultimate Charismatic church “therefore it is affordable” and urged individuals in and outside the country to enroll in UMA for life changing experience inorder to impact the sphere of leadership with the principles of the kingdom of God.
