Ace rapper Kotihene officially bows out from the music industry

Ace rapper Kotihene has officially bowed out from the music industry to pursue the work of God.

According to him, he has reached a level that he was not enthused by fleshy things but the things of the spirit.

Speaking in an interview on United Television, the “Dedeede” hitmaker explained that his decision to shun the entertainment industry was not based on his inability to live up to task but based on God’s call upon his life.

He noted that the worldly things were not relevant to him and would not turn back to the world.

Kotihene explained that he had tried several times to stay out of the industry but sometimes flash through with singles due to the talent.

For now he declared that nothing would ever make him bounce back in the industry as he has taken his Godly work to a certain level.

“I doubt if I will do anymore music. I’m believing in God to change the story and sequence. I believe in God to change the story I am writing, it’s a life cycle and I can’t be doing the same thing till I die so I am believing in God for that switch,” Kotihene added.

He also expressed regret that today’s music was full of trash and there was no better competition in the industry.

Kontihene said no one should ever think that he could not stand competition that is why he made decision to quit his music.

The hiplife musician who has been in the industry for nearly two decades made a comeback in 2015 with “Dedeede” featuring Ponobiom after years of hiatus.

He followed up with a remix with Pappy Kojo, and dropped a couple of fairly hit singles, including “Di”, “Sakoaba” and “Tricks.”

Kontihene has won several awards and gained reputation in the industry due to his skillful means of crafting his witty lyrics.
