Organisers of ‘GMSA’ honour Akuapem Poloo for inspiring the youth and the society
Actress, Rosemond Brown known in the industry as Akuapem Poloo has been honoured at the Ghana Media Students Awards (GMSA) for inspiring the youth of the country.
The awards which was held in Accra on Saturday saw her receiving a citation of honour for her role in the industry and for contributing her quota to the development of the society.
According to the citation, the past and present works of the controversial actress have been a source of inspiration to many youth, thus deserved to be recognised.
It stated that she was an icon who had given hope to the people of the country and was being recommended for the efforts and role played.
The citation read; “we wish to express profound gratitude for your immense contribution to the development of the youth in our society.
Your past and present works have done much to inspire and motivate the youth to be in peace, loving and optimistic about their endeavours.
You are an icon and deserves tremendous recommendations. We hope that you will continue your great works for our society. Thank You!”
The night was also sparkled with glitz and glamour as those who walked on the red carpet rocked in their apparel.
The event was climaxed by performances from young talented artists like Small small, F a square, Melody and Khojo highest among others.
About 30 media professionals including bloggers, media schools, media students and industrial personalities were awarded for championing professionalism in the industry.
