Ellen Adarna threatens a legal suit against Derek Ramsay
Veteran actress and model Ellen Adarna has accused her estranged husband Derek Ramsay of terrorizing their domestic helpers.
She also stated that she has “more receipts and strong witnesses” against her husband and threatened to seek legal redress for every harm he had caused her.
In a series of Instagram stories which she shared on Friday, November 21, Adarna disclosed that her Ramsay’s toxic act was witnessed by many including her nannies.
“But I have more receipts — not just recordings of him and me. He also terrorized even my nannies. I have proof against him showing that even the yayas were crying,” she shared.
“Three of my nannies he terrorized, and I have proof. I am always the person who has receipts, proof, and I have strong witnesses,” she continued.
Adarna noted that she was yet to decide whether she would release the “receipts” on social media or just present it at court.
“Let’s resume when I’m ready. I’ll talk to my lawyers,” she stated.
In her succeeding posts, Adarna also revealed that another former girlfriend of Ramsay, named Alexa, reached out to her after being bombarded by netizens.
“Mga Marites, stop blaming and messaging Alexa (Derek’s ex) for being the side chick,” Adarna said, noting how Alexa wanted the actress to share her message to the public.
Adarna then showed a screenshot of Alexa’s message in which the latter recalled the “emotional and psychological patterns” during her relationship with Ramsay.
“But in saying this, I’m not putting all the blame on him. I enabled the behaviour each time I chose to stay or when I caved. He saw my weakness and used it to his advantage,” Alexa’s message read.
She then empathized with Adarna, saying “No one deserved that, man or woman. And I’m so glad you’ve broken the silence and hopefully that very toxic cycle.”
Alexa further underscored how her wounds finally healed after Adarna spoke up. “Thank you for being the voice I never had.”
Adarna then said she has been receiving messages from those who are in the same situation, advising them to keep evidence and “lawyer up” to protect themselves.
“Lastly, see a therapist and build a strong support system. Healing is power,” she concluded.
Prior to this, Adarna accused Ramsay of gaslighting her as she revealed his alleged infidelity.
