I nearly died from COVID-19— Celestine Donkor shares experience

Celestine Donkor, a renowned gospel musician has decried that she nearly died after testing positive for Coronavirus (COVID-19).

According to her, her health status compelled her to cancel all her gigs during the Christmas season which eventually made her lose money and contact with fans after 10 months of a dull industry.

Speaking in a media interview, the beautiful songstress indicated that she had a bad experience during the festive season and thanked God for healing her.

“During the Christmas season, I was infected with COVID-19 and receiving serious intensive care. Imagine as an artiste who has pushed through this far, I had to call off all programmes. By God’s grace I have fully recovered from it,” she added.

Celestine Donkor after her recovery released a song dubbed: (Yeda Wase) which literally means “Thank You.”

She indicated that her thanksgiving song has touched the heart of many and has drawn them closer to God.

Touching on the song, the “Agbegbelo” hitmaker stated that the song evokes God’s presence and fortify all those who listen to it.

Few days after releasing her new track “Thank You,” she received backlash for featuring Efya and Akwaboah on the song.

She however urged all Ghanaians to strictly adhere to COVID-19 safety protocols especially now that most restrictions have been lifted.
