Julia Barretto’s career almost hit the rocks— Marjorie reveals

Marjorie Barretto, the mother of actress Julia Barretto, has disclosed that her daughter’s career almost hit the rocks when she began dating Gerald Anderson.

According to her, it took dedication, commitment and wisdom for her daughter to overcome the challenges coupling with finding a new love in Gerald.

Speaking in a media interview, Marjorie commended her daughter for the intelligence she exhibited in handling the controversy hounding her relationship with boyfriend Gerald.

She stated that her daughter’s relationship with her colleague almost marred her career and personal life in 2019 when she was caught in a love triangle involving Anderson and his then girlfriend, Bea Alonzo.

Marjorie was so proud of Julia for standing tall in all her tribulations.

“I’m so proud of her for her ability to articulate. Her choice of words is great, her wisdom is great. I’m so proud that she is still hopeful in life. She sees that a lot can still happen in her life,” she said.

It could be recalled that Bea Alonzo some years ago accused Julia of snatching her boyfriend, Gerald which Julia had denied.

This caused their friendship but after five years later, Alonzo and Julia appeared to have mended their rift when they met, hugged and exchanged pleasantries during a tribute for industry stalwart and starmaker, Johnny Manahan.

Reacting to that, Gerald attributed the friendship of his former flame and girlfriend to time and healing.

He was happy that time had healed all the wounds of Bea and had finally cemented her friendship with Julia.
