Kevin Prince Boateng stars in a debut movie with Hollywood actor, Sylvester Stallone
A German born Ghanaian footballer who used to play for the Black Stars, Kevin Prince Boateng, has announced his debut acting role with renowned Hollywood star, Sylvester Stallone known worldwide as Rambo.
The midfielder in an interview with an Italian newspaper, Corriere Della Serra revealed that
the upcoming movie highlighted his life as a footballer and his journey in becoming successful.
He stated that he has formed a strong alliance with the ace actor and narrated that the movie was inspired by personal life outside the pitch.
“We are considering Sylvester Stallone as the narrator of the movie, we want to show the pains and wounds it takes to be successful,” he added.
The successful premiere of the movie would make Prince Boateng join a list of football stars who made it on the screens.
Three-time FIFA Player of the year, Ronaldo made his on-screen debut in an episode of The Simpsons in 2007, whiles the likes of Pele, Eric Cantona, David Beckham and recently, Neymar, have also been involved in acting in the past.
However, this would not be the first time, Sylvester Stallone would be working with a footballer in a movie.
The American actor starred alongside Pele in the famous soccer movie, “Escape to Victory” in 1981, which also included soccer stars, Bobby Moore, Osvaldo Ardiles, Werner Roth, and Hallvar Thoresen.
