Head of Public Event of Charter House (CH), Mr Robert Klah has declared that the un-constituted board would announce to Ghanaians whether the two Dancehall giants, Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale had presented their awards to CH as demanded by the board.
He stated that since the board has not been constituted it would be difficult for him to communicate the actual truth to the public.
Speaking with spotonnews.net in an exclusive interview on Wednesday in Accra, Mr Klah noted that the punishment meted out to the Dancehall duo meant to serve as deterrent to others.
Living Stone Etse Satekla known in music circles as Stonebwoy and Charles Nii Armah Mensah also known as Shatta Wale were expected to return the plaques and other Prizes they won at the 20th Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) night to the board.
He stated that the board would ensure Ghanaians gain first hand information pertaining to the offence committed by Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale.
The 20th VGMA nearly ended in tragedy when Stonebwoy pulled a gun at his arch-rival, Shatta Wale to defend his award.
Stonebwoy after winning his fifth Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award got Shatta Wale aggravated and ran after him on stage at the Accra International Conference Center (AICC).
Stonebwoy who was unpleased with the action of his rival pulled out a gun during the scuffle as his “Bhim Nation” gang mobbed Shatta Wale and his militant group.
The chaotic scene led to the halting of the exciting night of fun and entertainment, with some patrons and dignitaries walking out of the dome to either save their lives or find a respite for the neck-racking moment.
The two artistes appeared before the Accra Magistrate court and were both charged with offensive conduct and breach of public peace.
Stonebwoy faced an additional charge of displaying weapon without permission.
The two pleaded not guilty to the charges and were granted GH₵50,000 bail with a surety each.
However Mr Klah indicated that his outfit would do their best to ensure such incidence never repeat itself and put necessary measures in place to resolve the issue to excite the fans of the two award winning artistes.
