VGMA Reggae/Dancehall award: A rebirth of my brand and pricing— Epixode discloses
Reigning Reggae/Dancehall Artiste, Theophilus Nii Arday Otoo known in the showbiz circles as Epixode has announced intentions to increase his pricing after winning the Reggae/Dancehall award of the year at the just ended 22nd Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
According to him, his new pricing stems from his plans of properly rebranding himself for his songs to be well appreciated in the industry.
Speaking in an interview with SpotOnNews, Epixode noted that the adjustment would help to project and promote his craft on the international market.
“Finally we can take it to the world. With this there is gonna be more… now the price will go up. I am not in a competition with anyone… everyone should go to bed. It’s a starting point for me. When people crown you, you have to prove it,” he said.
Epixode promised to also rebrand the Reggae and Dancehall genre by attaching a local vibe to make it completely unique to sell it worldwide.
He expressed gratitude to fans and Ghanaians for voting and appreciating his talent as a musician and expressed commitment to prove his mandate as a reggae/dancehall musician with more projects and music.
The musician beat the likes of Larruso, Ras Kuuku, Samini and Kaphun to emerge the Reggae and Dancehall Artiste of the Year.
